When I first saw something on this I thought it was awesome they are implementing NCAA teams with NBA 2K16. I was thinking it would make NCAA rosters playable or something in a kind of NBA/NCAA 2K combo. I miss the college game and I kind of got my hopes up for a return after EA and some former alum ruined everything. Upon further reading it's only 10 schools right now that will be in the game not actually any rosters or anything.
It's not clear what type of NCAA content is going to be on there at this point, but it sounds like it's just small things like logos.. Still I am really bugged that there only a limited amount of teams and that they won't let you play with the teams. Worst of all and ironically with AD on the cover, UK declined to be a part of it. As quoted by Eric Lindsay, "based on the current culture of college athletics, we did not feel comfortable participating in any video games at this time."
Of course schools like UL, Kansas, UCLA, etc. are already on board.
All I can think is "What the heck!?"... But at least EA doesn't have a hold on the NCAA anymore, so I'll still remain hopelessly optimistic for an NCAA game in the future..

Anthony Davis appears on the cover of NBA 2K16.
NBA 2K16 will feature Kentucky's Anthony Davis on the cover, but it's his rival school that will be playable in the upcoming video game release.
University of Louisville spokesman Kenny Klein confirmed this week that "we are among a small group of schools included" in the game released Sept. 29.
Reports indicated 10 others involved with the Collegiate Licensing Company will join the Cardinalsin NBA 2K16 as part of it's career mode.
The colleges won't have real rosters, or even lifelike ones as they did before games such as the NCAA Football series stopped production in 2013 amid the Ed O'Bannon case. NCAA signage and tournaments won't be involved, either. It's unknown as to whether home arenas like the KFC Yum! Center will become playable.
But, legally, there's nothing stopping individual schools from lending their logos to what, at least for now, sizes up as a group of 10: U of L, Arizona, Arizona State, Connecticut, Georgetown, Kansas, Michigan, Texas, UCLA, Villanova and Wisconsin.
James Harden (Arizona State) and Stephen Curry (Davidson) are also on versions of the 2K16 cover, and a close look at the background of those fronts reveals photos of them in their college gear. So, too, is Davis, cutting down a net after UK won the national title. The Wildcats -- not a member of the Collegiate Licensing Company -- won't join the Cards in 2K16.
"We had discussions with them a while back," UK spokesman Eric Lindsey wrote in an email to The Courier-Journal, "but based on the current culture of college athletics, we did not feel comfortable participating in any video games at this time."
Anyone else bothered by this? Or is it just me?
