My Top 5 Announcers in CBB Are..........

I guess I wouldn't call him an announcer but I think the most practical and non bias guy in CBB is Seth Greenburg. I love his takes and he tells it like it is. I wish he would do games as the announcer rather than a sideline guy. Lawson is solid. Gus Johnson was the most exciting announcer when he was at CBS.

I agree with Gus Johnson. I was going to put him in there but he does Big Ten and Fox now. I wish he would go to Espn. It would make alot of their games more enjoyable.

As far as color analysts go...
1. Raftery
2. Bilas (shadow of his former self, but not exactly a wealth of talent in broadcasting these days)
3. Lawson
4. Walton (barely focuses on the game, but he's gotta be on anyone's list for pure entertainment value alone).
5. Farnham (thought he had a rough stretch earlier this year. Seems like he's figured it out, though. Not great, but not awful either.)
And while on the subject of announcers... I've been dreading the prospect of another Marv Albert, Len Elmore, Chris Webber booth for one of our NCAAT games. That's by far the worst booth I've heard in recent years.

Also went on some ranting aside a couple weeks ago about how silly people were for thinking LSU would miss the NCAAT and how they've "turned a corner..."
Looks pretty bad in hindsight. Gottlieb and Goodman had similar takes as well.
it's very easy for people watching on tv to say a team is poorly coached but damn lsu does not seem like they're coached well
I tend to separate it out between announcers (i.e., Schulman) & color analysts (i.e., Bilas, Raftery, Vitale).
Not that, that's who I'm voting at the top - just giving examples.
So for "announcers" - yeah, Schulman's very good.
Miles Simon is quickly ascending up the list of Color Analysts - I might put him as high as 3rd on that list.

Kara Lawson is the only one I like. All the others spend too much time gushing about other players or teams not involved in the current game they are calling. Kris Dunn does not play for UK. I don't understand why every UK game has to turn into a Kris Dunn commercial.
