Good article from T.J. Walker with quotes from new Cat guard Jamal Murray -- talking about the possibility of playing for Canada as well as the kind of unique backcourt the Cats could have.

LINK: Murray story

Love the way the the UK backcourt players have seemingly become real buddies and Murray getting here late was not an issue.

"I don't know who we play, I don't care, as long as we know how good we are and know how to handle business we can beat every team out there," Murray said.

Gotta love this kid.

Thanks for the link. I believe that's the second time I've seen them characterized as three ball dominant guards. I think that's a misnomer.

Ulis is a tremendous facilitator with very low usage. The ball doesn't stick in his hands. There's is room on the floor for 2 high usage guys because of how unselfish Ulis is.

And the second he gets it when open, ring up points on the scoreboard.

I havent seen a lot of briscoe, but ulis and murray both have a very mature game so i dont think there will be any problems...because they almost always make the correct play. This kind of play usually rubs off on others and likely will become the way this whole team plays. Kind of like mkg style rubbed off on his team.

i think my favorite thing that i've seen from his game is his ability to make fantastic passes. when he goes off the dribble he's going to find an opening and score or draw help and find the wide open guy. you see on his fiba highlights that every assist is for a dunk and/or a wide open set shot jumper. he's a scorer yeah, but more than that he's a play maker.

In this summer's HS all-star games, Briscoe was more than decent as a distributor. (My memory is that he struggled to score but was fine at getting people the ball so that they could score. But how a person plays in games that don't count with teammates they don't know isn't usually indicative of much.)
