In my opinion for the cats to go real far this year Murray is going have to be more aggressive, He has the skills without a doubt. Let him loose Cal.

he dribbles and probes the whole game. he goes to the basket almost always, sometimes a little out of control. to say he hasn't been turned loose as far as one can be in the college game is frankly an embarrassing revelation of your own bb knowledge. we have to run an offense. we still clear out for him all the time. he has the greenest light maybe ever under cal. he can pull up from three with someone right in front of him and won't hear a thing from anyone. you are really lost on this one sir. wall, knight? i can't think of a player with whom cal would be more willing to live with missing a shot than murray.

Let's see, given the two active threads on Murray at the moment, I think Murray needs to be kinder and gentler while he's fighting. Something like that, its all so confusing.

I think Murray needs to play his game.

I also think Cal has a leash on Murray. He could easily average 20+ppg . Anyone paying attention should be able to notice the difference in Murray now compared to the pan am games. He was downright dominant against the best competition he'll ever play against this year.

It's not a leash. He doesn't want him to settle for contested threes and circus layups. He wants him to draw contact, get 8 free throws a night, and generally abuse the defense instead of bailing them out.

I actually agree with this in a way. Yes, he does look for confrontation a lot (see every time a UK player is about to throw down on the court or something), but he should be more aggressive while he is in the lane. There were 3 times last night that I seen him take fade away shots, whether it be in the lane, or at the 3 point line. I also do feel like from time to time, he does settle for 3's when there is more there. I usually think smooth as butter is ridiculous, but I can see where Murray needs to tone it down with the extracurricular stuff, and take his aggression out in the lane, draw more fouls instead of avoiding them, etc.

How to get to 20 PPG?

"Draw the foul!!!"

If Skal worked to get the ball more, or stop getting pushed around then I would agree.

I want to see Briscoe start kicking the ball back out to Murray for the open 3 after he drives in the paint and 3-4 have collapsed on him..

I missed the game and forgot to DVR it, that won't happen again, shameful, damn you overtime[winking]
