Murray is a Lottery Pick

I'll never understand long sleeves on a basketball court though. Ever. Anyone with insight as to why this is desirable to an athlete?

EDIT: May be a subtle way for him to say "I'm cold."

Poor kid won't know what to wear when he gets to Kentucky. Weather's gonna break his ankles.

One great plus with Murray is that he is deadly from 3 point and was 4/7 today and had 20 points. He was 2/8 inside the 3-point and could have easily scored 30 points today if a few of his 2-point shots went down today. Murray will for sure move up the 2016 NBA Mock Draft Board and could eventually be behind Skai at #2 with Skai at #1. That would be another 1-2 NBA Draft for Coach Cal in 2016.
Murray has great range and can shoot from about anywhere on the court. They said today that Murray is 6-5 to 6-6 and that is a plus if Coach Cal goes with the 3 guard lineup sometimes with Briscoe at 6-3 and Ullis 5-9. Then play Poy and Skai underneath with the 3 guard lineup and that would be a scary good offensive team. There will be so many different combinations that Coach Cal will be able to use next year with these 9-10 players.I could see this team by March Madness and Tourney time being way better on the offensive side of the ball and with Coach Cal teams their Defense improves over the season and ready by March Madness. I really believe with these 9-10 players that next years team by March Tourney Time will be as good as last years 38-1 Final Four team.

I tried out long sleeves once just getting up some shots. All the extra heat and sweating wore my ass out.

Yeah, i'm starting to believe in the hype. Top-10 seems very likely at this stage.

Top-5 is likely pushing it since he's not a PG atm & doesn't have any standout athletic attributes.

He's about to be our best shot creator since B.Knight.

Well, Brandon Knight is a more natural shooting guard. That's what he plays in the NBA, and he has a max contract now doing that. Murray's size is good shooting guard size, so that will probably be his NBA position, while occasionally getting some run at the 1.

I've stated several times before he committed that if he comes out and attends this yr of college foregoing his senior yr of college then he would be a top 10 pick and possibley top 5.
Reasoning the 2016 draft is because the 2016 HS class is loaded with potential great players and it would push Murray out of the top 10. He would prob be better in the long run than many drafted ahead of him but his athleticism err lack their of is the biggest thing holding his stock back.
He's an amazing player

The more comfortable he gets the better he's going to get for team Canada.

Watched him many times in person and he just keeps getting better, more comfortable he got with his teammates the more he looked like a top 5 player.

That's redundant for starters. And you are aware it is Skal with an L right

The only time I saw him play was in the world games and he was pretty impressive.

I agree. I'm expecting a Final Four contender. Not saying I think they'll get there, but right now they look like they have the necessary pieces to make a real push. I think the key will obviously be Skal's development. If he makes the improvement over the season that Noel, Towns, Cousins, and Davis made (within his particular skillset) I think UK will be right in the thick of the action come April.

And you know what? Considering we lost 7 to the NBA, that's pretty exciting, isn't it? A 5th Final Four in six years is the type of thing that will have exceeded the most rabid UK fans' expectations when Cal first came here.

"Shirley" you don't think the regular posts about what Cal can't do as opposed to what he can do will stop...

He's had too many final four chances not to have "more" titles...

I agree. However, we have some delusional fans that no longer think making a final-4 is anything noteworthy. John Calipari is a victim of his own success. Now it's title or bust. Some of these clowns don't realize we have 8 titles in our ENTIRE history.

I keep hearing good things about Murray. If you had to compare his style of play to another former college player...who would it be. Also, how does the competition look? Mid major, top 25, top half of power conference? We played in the world games and had to exhibitions against Canada in KC---not for sure if the rosters have any of the same players----our team Canada was def solid and actually had good size for what I was expecting---same with the other world games comp. I think coach self equated team Canada with an upper level mid major team---and we have struggled with them as you well know lol.

Murray is wayyyy more athletic then people give him credit for . He is not an ultra athlete but he is damn good . He jumps and dunks with the kinda ease Booker did which always caught me by surprise and that is what got Booker drafted so high , when he went to work outs people found out he was an athlete besides just being a shooter . Murray will be a top 5 pick IMO as he will have a Deangelo Russell type year ( sure i butchered that kid's name LOL )

I generally stay away from comps but he reminds me of pre-injury Derek Anderson with a quicker release.

A month ago many on this board were saying Murray's Rivals position should be 10 to 15. I was saying the two best players by far in the 2015 class bar non were Skal and Murray. And now everyone is finally coming around. (I'm tooting)

.

After Skal, Jaylen, Simmons, and Ingram, there's not very much talent in the 2016 draft. Murray has a real shot at going top 5 if he continues to develop. Do I expect him to go that high? No, but he's as talented as any of the other candidates for the 5th spot (Dunn, Newman, Bender, etc.).

Have you got to watch Bender? I'm genuinely asking because I've only watched him online some and read a few scouting reports/pieces on him and he has loads of potential from everything I've watched or read. I think he'll end up challenging for a top 2-3 spot in the draft from what I've read. He's extremely young(17) which I think will boost his stock.

Yeah, those are my feelings as well.
