That's your ball game. Beyond Murray, we were beyond pathetic offensively. But yeah, Stonewall thinks Murray is a ball hog. The guy shooting over 50% for the game should pass to rest of the team shooting 27% for the game. I'll take efficiency, and take my chances.

Murray is a volume shooter/scorer. In the Pan-Am Games, when he really made his name, he had 0 points against the U.S. through three quarters, then scored 24 in the fourth and OT.
As I've said before, it's time for Cal to scrap the "everybody has to eat" mentality. Murray is the only guy on this team who can score. He needs 20-25 shots a game, minimum. The offense should go through him every single time down the floor. Everyone else on the team has "role" player ability -- at least on the offensive end -- so that's what they should be. Cal always says he coaches to the team he has - well, he needs to be OK with having one star and a bunch of guys who defend and get garbage buckets.

This will be Cals toughest coaching job:
Skal needs alot of work.
Murray is clearly a scoring machine.
Briscoe cant shoot.
Lee and Poythress are both offensively challenged.
The Wood Chopper coming in mid season has to be challenging for team chemistry.
In the end though, if Cal can mold this team into a defensive, rebounding unit we could make some noise in the Dance.

We have got to be easy to prepare for at this point. Just put your best defender on Murray and take your chances with the rest. Not a bad gamble.
As bad as most of the team was for most of the game we were totally in it And would have pulled it out if not for a handful of poor plays. I don't if that says more about us or osu.

Another interesting stat is number of attempts taken by the guards as compared to the bigs.
I was waiting for murray to bust it loose like he did yesterday, he has that rep, too bad not one other player even had a B plus game. If Ulis had had just a decent game, we probably win, though.
