We've done VERY WELL in the first half of the season. Being 4-1 we have made it through 3 SEC conference games and came out 2-1. Florida will probably win the east division this year because of their win over Ole Miss and Georgia's loss to Alabama. Looking to the future, this will be the meat of our schedule and if we can pull out two wins from these next few weeks we will be doing very well going into the bowl season.
If we win 2 more SEC games it will put us at 6-3 going into the Vanderbilt game. If we win out the rest of the season we will finish 9-4 overall and 5-3 in the SEC. Based upon that we could finish 3rd in the SEC east.
At this point I'm not sure which games we win out of the next 4 but Auburn & State look winnable. Some would say that Tennessee or Georgia would be the one. At the end of the day though we don't have to win all of them. Winning out though is very important because if we lose all 4 then any mishaps at the end of the season will keep us out of bowl contention yet again this year.
