Here's another retrospective article on the evolution of the Air Raid offense in the 1990s. From ESPN. Pretty good read....
Lavell Edwards of BYU deserves at least equal billing with Mumme, given that the Air Raid is hardly different from Edward’s system at BYU, which Mumme studied in depth. His offense changed the whole mindset of today's game.

And I’m not Morman!
Oh, I agree.Mumme ball is not winning football. The nostalgia for a man who left us in shambles and under the black eye of cheating is something I will never understand.
The way UK plays under Stoops, Georgia under Kirby, and Saban’s early Alabama teams is how long term winning football is played.
It was a conundrum for sure.Oh, I agree.
But the conundrum faced by UK in the 90’s was how to get enough wins to recruit enough athletes to build a winner. I was convinced the brick-by-brick approach and running the ball would not work at UK.
Stoops proved me wrong.

Conspiracy.I find it odd how this same weird air raid nostalgia article comes back around seemingly every year
