On Danial Jeremiah’s latest podcast, he gives UK tons of praise for their OL. He has Darian Kinnard as his 5th best OG.. Also praised Luke Fortner.

I’m with you, I don’t see 31 better. He doesn’t have the quicks of Donald but he’s probably a good bit stronger. His mock has Jordan Davis going #32. Idk how his game will translate to the NFL but alot of of games he looked an Aaron Donald type DT. Almost unblockable even against good college OLines. I know he isn't going to be as dominant as Donald in the pros but I don't see how there are 31 better players to draft.
Where he will effect the pass game is requiring a double team and moving the LOS, IMO. When you can take away letting the passer step up, it makes your edge guys that much more effective. Can he be an every down player, that's the question teams will ask I think.Jordan Davis is a dominate run stopper....and not so much pass rush from interior DL spots. He was nearly noticeable in the Bama/UGA SEC Champ game as Bama just threw the ball the entire game.
In NFL which is at least 60% pass heavy league....the comparison's to Aaron Donald are not close IMO. Yo have to rush the passer in this league and Jordan Davis will not do that like Donald in NFL>
He's not near quick enough to command a double team block on pass rush...he'll stop up LOS on run game thoguhtWhere he will effect the pass game is requiring a double team and moving the LOS, IMO. Definitely don't think he is quick but he can be very effective in pass rush by forcing the center and/or guard to back peddle into the pocket. IMO, gut pressure is equally, if not more, disruptive to what the qb id trying to do. His feet are disrupted, he has less room to get a pass up over the OL. I agree with you that he isn't likely to be a pass rusher in the mold of Donald, arguably the best in the league from the Tackle spot, I just think he can be very effective on passing downs. If he had AD's quicks, he's probably being talked about as a top 5 pick. He's not near quick enough to command a double team block on pass rush...he'll stop up LOS on run game thoguht

Jordan Davis ran a 4.78 forty, he does have some quicks. Pretty good time for guy that size.

Big move: 341-pound Davis wows combine in 40
Georgia's Jordan Davis, at 341 pounds, ran one of most incredible big-man sprints in NFL scouting combine history with the potential first-round selection clocking 4.78 seconds in the 40-yard dash.www.espn.com
I'm guessing he will go 10-15 now. They were questioning his weight and work ethic. He lost 30lbs and ran the best time ever for a guy over 310 lbs32?? He could go #1. Probably should go #1
If he goes 10-15 I'll be shocked. That's too much physical potential for teams to pass on.I'm guessing he will go 10-15 now. They were questioning his weight and work ethic. He lost 30lbs and ran the best time ever for a guy over 310 lbs
I don't disagree just going by what the analysts sayIf he goes 10-15 I'll be shocked. That's too much physical potential for teams to pass on.
