A) Towles passes for 250+ yards and 3 TD

B) Boom runs for 100+ yards

C) Defense holds USC under 150 yards rushing

I will start it off with choosing option A.

I think USC will contain Boom to under 100 and also since we have a split between JoJo and Horton unless Boom hits a homerun I don't see 100 yards.

I also think our run stop game on defense is still suspect and Pharoah will hurt us in the wildcat.

That leaves Patrick. USC does not defend well against the pass and I believe Patrick will come out firing to prove his naysayers wrong. Film will be Patrick's friend this week and more practice timing throws to our young stud receivers.

Can I pick A and B?

Boom can break off 100 yards with 2 runs. If he gets a couple huge chunks then the passing lanes will be wide open. Look for both to happen.

I'ma go with:
D...Towles passes for 350+ & 4 TD's Also rushes for 60
E...Boom/JoJo combine for 328 yards & 4 TD's

I hope it is A but think it will be B, but C would probably win the game for us.

Against north Carolina they ran the ball 47 times and passed it 27. Even if the defense does do well against the run, they are going to get over 150.

A. Towles had some drops and near misses in game one while having jitters and a dumbed down playbook. Yet he still went over 250. So I'm not worried about the yds. Getting 3 TDs will be the clincher here. It's very possible....very....but not a guarantee. I hope he doesn't throw multiple INTs though.

Boom could get over 100 yds but I think we run too much by committee.....and I think USC will do a good job stopping the long runs.

I think USC will try to run it quite a bit.... And use Cooper out of the Wildcat. UKs defense isn't stellar and it concedes yardage by design. Wilds is banged up and their o-line isn't great. I don't think they 150 but they will gain some yds.

A is most likely to happen.

B is next likely to happen.

C is almost near certain to NOT happen. As someone mentioned, based on reps/carries alone they will get over 150. If you had said 200 or less I might have been more apt to go with C.

B. UNC ran the ball really well against South Carolina and should have stayed with it.

If "C" happened then Cats could win big...but does anyone here realistically think that will happen??? When is the last time UK held ANY team under 150 yds rushing in a game??!! >70% of their plays Saturday will be running plays, from multiple looks...just hoping they do not more than one player with 150+ yds on the ground!!

Cats need "A", and "B" (from Boom or combo of Boom/JoJo/Horton) along with no stupid/drive killing penalties, winning turnover margin, etc to pull off the win in Columbia.

If it rains as much as it is presently being predicted for the game in SC, I predict a combination of B and C.

UK runs for 250 yards, hold SC to 150 running yards, and turns SC 2+ times.

Cats - 24
SC - 17

Chances of rain are high and its supposed to be hard rains at times. That could really hurt KY in the passing game. Everyone is predicting a huge scoring game, but if its a hard rain this could very well become who runs it the best and that probably favors SC since KY's run defense is very suspect right now.

If the rain holds off, I think A is the most likely because SC's secondary is very suspect and I think UK has one of the most potent collection of WR's in the SEC. Strangely enough, if Pat is on I think KY's defense can give up 200 yards on the ground and still win.

One thing almost assured....SCAR runs for 250 plus. Happened 6 times in '14, 2 times 300+. And ULL ran for 247 last Sat. Do that and SCAR wins 31-23.

You're probably correct... one can hope...otherwise, whats the use in being a fan. :)

Which would you rather have?

A strong running with an average to below average passing game.
Or A strong passing game with an average to below average running game.n

Personally I'd prefer a strong rushing game because a lot of negatives can happen when you are an only pass team.

UNC rushed for lots of yards from 30 to 30 because --- running their spread hurry up offense we played a 4-2-5 prevent defense 2/3 of the game. Against KY, we will use more 4-3 and stop the run. I think our offense gets rolling this week. USC 31- KY 16

B

If for no other reason than to show that our OL can open holes as well as pass block. A little misdirection and better ball fakes would be nice, too.

I prefer a strong running game, with better then average passing to keep the SC defense honest.

We held four teams under 100 yds rushing in a game last year. Ohio, Louisiana-Monroe, Vandy, and Louisville. Mizzou broke the 150 mark with 156.
