Pitre injured on the play also. Took a cleat/shoe to the arm from the catcher. Maybe interesting to watch the Morehead catchers next AB.
Did I hear the announcers talking about Degen being medically retired? That is sad.
Mason Moore getting a chance to pitch against the hometown school. Pretty cool. Cats taking care of business so far.
Infield this year is pretty good at turning two. Even with Felker in for Pitre.
15 LOB and we scored 15. Looks to me like you can't keep Felker or Church out of the lineup for now.
I’m not sure where you play Felker but it’s going to be hard to keep his bat out of the lineup.
Going to be interesting. We have this type thing happen every year it seems. Last year it was Church. Was a monster against some non-conference teams but began to struggle again SEC pitching, especially with offspeed pitches. So we'll see how he's adjusted after a year.
I just caught the final score and was impressed with 15 runs. I wasn’t aware we left 15 runners on base. That’s really a concern. You can’t leave that many.
Wright State has been in consecutive NCAAs and has had a ton of success over the years.
He'll be fine. Stitches, nothing more.

With as many runners as we wipe off the base paths with base running errors, those numbers are even worse. I believe we've had 8 caught stealing and 2 picked off with only 13 steals. You can't get them all in, but I wonder about the percentage of base runners left on base for good teams?

Interestingly, we also aren't killing a ton of rallies with double plays. We've yet to hit into a double play this season. So, when we have runners on we're often just not hitting or we're running ourselves into outs.
I'm glad to see Church will get a shot at least.
Last year he left guys in for a month before switching it up.
