Had a good, long conversation with UK running back commit A.J. (Asim) Rose tonight and he's an interesting guy. His best 40-time by the clocks is only a 4.69 but watch the guy run and you can tell he's got another gear, so that doesn't tell the whole story. He is very much a down hill runner. Made the point that the outside run game is becoming somewhat obsolete in college football so UK wants to establish the down hill running game between the tackles to complement the pass game with Dawson.
He's a legit 6-foot-2 and wants to be 200-205 when he gets up to Kentucky. I like this kid's game a lot. He's rock solid. Very close with Dorian Baker and his family.
Rose was forced into action at QB last year when their starter went down and he led his high school to their best season in a decade, actually proving himself more than capable as a high school passer in addition to his running skills. Has not camped at UK but will camp in Lexington this summer.
