Montrell Custis

Strange... Crystal ball had us at 79% and Ole Miss wasn't even on the radar. Was it expected that we wouldn't get him or what?

If they get Lewis and Baity, there wasn't a spot for Custis

Why do we like Baity better than Custis? Size or what? Have we even offered Baity yet (247 and this website don't say that we have)?

Alabama people didn't think Custis would qualify (even though they were cutting him loose). I have heard favorable reports on Baitys film.

We wanted 5 or so secondary players...Beckham, Walker, Westry, Lewis and Baity would be a solid class.

I am not surprised at this news. Once a player flips he is not likely to switch and come back. to his original commitment.

True, that.
Sure.....since we only have 5-6 open SS available. This sounds very reasonable.

You redshirted Edwards, West, Tucker and Hytche last year. Randolph played as a true frosh. You already have commitments from Westry, Walker and Beckham for this class. Lewis and Baity would make 5 DBs added to four redshirts and one true frosh. For a balanced roster you can only take so many DBs.

"Oh, so now Ole Miss is taking Alabama's sloppy seconds?"

Heard that same explanation from a dyed-in-the-wool Red Jammer fan.
