Just knocked off Georgetown. 83-68 @ Georgetown.

They've now beaten UCLA, Notre Dame, USC, and Georgetown.

Okay Monmouth...

Gotta wonder if they'd get an at-large bid if they ran through the MAAC (say two or three losses) but lost in the finals or even semis of the conference tourney. Obviously they'd need UCLA, G-Town and Notre Dame to do well in their conferences and USC to not be a complete dud in the Pac-12.

i've not watched them play a game- just highlights.

But, unless they tank in their conference, they should be considered for an at-large bid even if it's the play-in game at Dayton.

3 wins over P5 universities and a G-Town team on the road. For a mid-major, they don't dodge competition.

If King Rice keeps this up UNC is going to force Ol' Roy to resign.

I second this. Cryolina fans love a UNC alum to be their coach and the thought was Hubert Davis. But I think we can all agree, Davis has no coaching experience. King Rice could be their savior...and his first name is King. That's great PR Waiting to happen.

Monmouth has some excellent guards. They are really good.
Rutgers appears to be their next victim.

Is GTown good? They lost to Radnor opening week and are 6-4. I would say pump the brakes on Monmouth. They do have some good wins, but also lost to Canisius. And what they do on the bench is funny and all, but I can see that getting very old, very quick. They are having fun, but it seems like it would be annoying for the opponents and I wouldn't be surprised if they play someone and a little skirmish breaks out because the other team has gotten fed up with it.

Since I "play" college games every day, I've been following Monmouth with $$ interest. They've only played 1 true home game. Teams that don't know them struggle more with Monmouth's spread offense than teams that do (conference). Kind of like the Ivy League.

They will be a 13 or 14 however they will not sneak up on anyone. This may hurt their chances of an upset since the other team will respect them and will come out with more intensity.

When I was first getting interested in hoops, St. Bonaventure (1700 students) was a power. Tiny sports non-entity Chicago Loyola even won in 1963. (Over Cincy. Great game. Tip in at the buzzer. 1st tournament finals I ever watched.) Small schools can field great teams.
