Has anyone set up a fund to help gather money fo Mr. McGee? Seems like there would be a lot of people willing to contribute to help him out.

It's BS. If UL wanted him to talk all they have to do is sue him for damages and through discovery learn most all the details they would need to know.

But there's 0.0% chance they don't already know all the details and there's also zero chance they want those details made public.
Absolutely right! No way UL wants McGee talking. And what's he got to lose by talking? Except maybe his life!

They already paid him off and offered legal advice, again did not work out.
He is done, UL and Jurich chose to defend the coach instead of defend the school and what a college should be about somewhat. This was mistake. The NCAA knew this. They look for people to asked to be accounted for.

The Bilas argument does not hold water, too many assistants and too many kids to not know, he chose to not know. I was at UK in 89-90 when Rick came in. He had Delray Brooks, Tubby Billy D. watching these kids, Ritchie drinking beer and being over weight, Feldhaus being out or something very simple. Rick knew if you had an extra Gatorade.

Bottom line is Rick should be fired for not knowing and fired if he did know.

This boils down in my eyes as referendum You want to keep Banner or Coach?
UL chose the wrong path.

The wording is just awful in findings.

You'd have to think McGee is getting paid by someone. A 10 year show cause means he's finished with basketball on the collegiate level.
And you would think he was getting paid to try to help avoid the NCAA hammer. That obviously blew-up yesterday. Can't help but wonder what he is thinking at this point.
If his funding dries up because of the additional sanctions he might want to talk.

I'd be willing to bet McGee's been paid a nice sum of money with promises to take care of him later on as well. Pitino was his coach who gave him a job after his career was over. Are u telling me McGee wouldn't step up for his mentor and say "pitino had nothing to do with this it was all me" if this truly was just McGee and noone else. He will never coach again and he's not going to face charges so he has no reason to not step up for his coach and Alma mater. Rick and turtleneck might just want to take their punishment and shut up, no telling what might get dug up. Damn this is just so friggin sweet

I think any lawyer worth his salt would tell him to stay quiet. He's accused of providing a prostitute to a kid as young as 16.
I'm not a lawyer but I believe in the state of Kentucky that's a misdemeanor offense. If so he doesn't have much to be worried about when it comes to criminal charges. If he was truly just a rogue employee you would figure he would admit to it for the sake of PItino and UofL. It's not like he has a future as a college coach to protect anymore.

Speaking about money for Mr. McGee. I'm still waiting to hear where McGee got the money to pay the whores.

McGee has already been given a 7 figure check from the "good old boys" fund. I'd be willing to guarantee it by now.

It is a shame it wasn't sent to him on an Emory package that a worker decided to tamper with.

I'm loving all of this. After all these years of UL fans calling Calipari a cheater, they're caught in one of the biggest sports scandals of all time!

Making Clint Hurtt look like he had more morals than the whole basketball team while on campus!

Follow the money after last week I think anyone who could find a money trail for McGee would see that it was either laundered from jurich/ Ramsey slush fund. He and other guy were taken care of for sure.
Lawyers etc. I mean the unbelievable amounts of money changing hands, covered up and hidden have to know they were taken care of.

Deron told me once that Rick joked around with him (Deron) being at Two Keys.

On the subject of McGee, why does everyone at UofL keep repeating the line that McGee was the only one who knew these violations were going on? Wouldn't the players/recruits be aware, at least on some level, that someone was having sex with them?

If I were broke enough to be driving for Uber, I'd have no problem selling a story to the tabloids for six figures...unless I already had six figures from somewhere I guess.
