This won't help you much since I'm not seeing anything definitive, but I did see he was taken out of the locker room on a stretcher and taken to a hospital for x-rays.
But I hope it's not serious, either. Never like to see injuries, especially not serious ones.
Not good....
@WojYahooNBA: Charlotte's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will need shoulder surgery and be sidelined six months, league source tells Yahoo Sports.
Dang. He's has shoulder issues dating back to UK, hopefully this isn't anything career threatening. Luckily he signed that new contract, as he'll see every penny regardless of what happens.
What the heck? Every year there seems to be one of these injuries early in the season. Last year it was Randle; the year before that it was Noel, although his was a recovery from his time at UK. Wall, Rondo, and others have missed significant time as well.
I feel bad for the young man. Had there not been perspiration on the ground, it wouldn't have happened.
MGK is a guy that needs all the time on the court he can get. This will slow him down just a little. I hope he at least gets to work on his shot, but with a shoulder injury, I doubt it.
I know it's not, but what if his career is over? He's still going to make $52M! Unreal to have that kind of security. So glad he was able to sign that contract before this injury.

Hate this for MKG. I put him in a class with Chuck Hayes when it comes to determination, guts and sheer force of will. That might not seem like much but I have incredible respect for Hayes. I know Davis was the top billing on the 2012 championship team but I'll always believe that MKG was the heart and soul of that ball club. Hope Gilchrist recovers fully and has a long career.
When they had to get him out of the locker room on a stretcher, that didn't sound good. Unfortunately it was worse than I might have expected. Best wishes to Michael in his recovery. Hope he comes back better than before.
MKG had at least two spills during his year at UK where he came up favoring that shoulder in a very peculiar and sensitive way - so much so that I always thought it would significantly affect his draft stock. If I could see it from my chair then every NBA GM knew about it, that's for sure. But they took their chances on him anyway - Charlotte, that is.
The first time I saw him go down on that shoulder and come up in agony it was clear to me that he wasn't surprised by it - something that he brought to UK with him. Hate it for him. I've heard that the shoulder can be the most painful joint in the body.
