They have had 8 4star recruits in the last 4 years according to rivals. Not including the super wide receiver that transferred. Talk about doing more with less! I bet Florida has a minimum of 8 5star players on this years roster.

They are basically Rich Brooks' staff on steroids. Not great recruiters but excellent teachers.

You are correct. They have done very well in a tough conference without the best "high school talent". So, either Missouri has ridiculous skill in terms of finding "diamonds in the rough" or they can coach up what they get.

Or, they got lucky being put in the SEC East at a down time...

They are doing the same thing State, UK are doing, redshirting and its paying off for them. They are just way ahead of UK in the process, they have RS Sr. while UK RS under Stoops are RS soph. It will be 2 more years before the full effect of the redshirting shows its real advantage.

I think Coach P said last year 70 of his roster were red shirts . UK needs to copy that route.

What has amazed me about MO is that Mauk is not really that great of a QB IMO, yet they keep squeaking out enough wins to be East champs.

Mizzou is the blueprint we need to follow. Keep the same systems on O & D even when coordinators depart, recruit to those systems and redshirt the majority. Every Mizzou player who is in their 4th or 5th year are playing the same offense & defense as the minute they set foot on campus.
