watching this game tonight on SEC network plus. Former UK pitching and Head Coach Gary Henderson facing off against Brian Green his former hitting coach at UK.
MSU leading 3-1 in the 5th inning, thought this might interest some Cat fans, as there are some former coaching ties to UK.

I tuned in when I read your post, I personally have no grudge against Hendo. He had a couple of good seasons at UK, just not enough.
I believe Coach Green was labeled the ' Offensive Co-ordinator ' while in Lexington. He has done a solid job at NMSU, they have improved every season under him.

Yeah, I have no ill will against Henderson, although I disagreed with his strategy quite a bit. He actually recruited/coached several of our top players on this and last year's team.
Pompey, Becker, Hjelle, Lewis, Schenzer, Squires, Cottam etc. so I guess we owe him that much. Although, I sure like the guy we have now calling the shots !

Good points about Hendos recruits, last year's team had E White, R Mahan, C Heady, M Carson, Z Reks also.
I guess Coach Minge and staff develops talent better than the previous staff. It seems Gary has settled MSU down after a terrible start to the season, including the HC getting fired for an apparent affair. They seem to be a team that doesn't score a lot of runs, but doesn't give up a lot of runs.

I see that Florida lost tonight to UCF by a final of 9-7.

Henderson could find some very good talent. I think part of his problem was that he couldn't find and develop second tier bullpen type guys. We seemed to always have 2 good starters under him but after that the entire staff was a toss up.

Auburn also currently losing to UAB 6 to 8 in the 8th.
