Apparently this ambidextrous superstar has never pitched in a game below 70 degrees. WOW! Could explain the rough start and location issues. How about that? I thought MSU would not give us the free passes that our OOC teams have been giving us and they promptly plunk Gray, walk Felker, give up a single to Burkes, and hit Pitre to give us a run.
Pitre's error causes us to lose Williams. I hate to see that. He's got to get one out on that ball. Instead of two outs and a runner on 2nd, we get bases loaded and one out (I'd put Williams' last walk looked like a frustration walk.
We had 15 K's
LOB by game
Elon 4, 8, 10
Evansville 14
Wright State 13, 6, 11
Morehead State 15
Indiana State 6, 10, 4
Murray State 7
Ohio 11
SIU 15, 15, 8
Indiana 7
Mississippi State 8
The fact that we can leave 8 when we only had 5 hits is pretty remarkable too.State left 13.

Mason Moore and Seth Chavez were huge in this one. The bullpen continues to be a real strength of this team.
Agree, I went for the 1st five innings, after a terrible start, MSU's switch pitcher was really tough, has a lot of velocity and movement on the ball. But pulling out the W is the kind of game that will help get you in the NCAA tournament. Kentucky doesn't have a really top end pitcher, but a lot of depth, like we saw last night.
At the beginning of the week, I was hoping for a split of the four games with Indiana and Miss State. Mission accomplished! Now hoping for 2 of 3 series win over MSU.
