Mingione was on the radio this morning commenting on Kentucky not getting into the NCAA tournament... He made some great points about SOS and many other things, but I thought the best one he made was that Kentucky had an RPI of 30... they took the first 29 teams skipped Kentucky and then took the next 13 with rpi's higher than UK...now that is some total BS

No matter how you shake it, Northeastern getting in over Kentucky is a travesty. Northeastern didn't win a single series against a single team in the tournament and went just 3-9 against top 50 teams. They even had a losing record against teams with RPIs between 51-100 at 6-7. They went 3-11 against tournament teams. They failed to win the conference tournament going a poor 2-4 against tournament winner UNCW. Yes, they had the most wins in their crappy conference with 17, but 15 of those 17 came against teams who had RPIs over 100. They played just 2 conference series against teams with RPIs below 100 and they went 2-4. There is zero reason they should be playing instead of us. Zero.

There HAS to be a reason other than just sheer incompetence that UK was left out. It's inexplicable, really, based on numbers and comparison. Backdoor shenanigans in full effect in this case. IMO
