Mike Leach Offers Yeast

That would be a mistake to go to WSU with Leach there, for several reasons, but most importantly, is that I hope he goes to UK

Seriously doubt he is interested in joining that circus a redeye away. Leach might offer Dad a job, however. Still, not sure Yeast Sr. would be interested, even at that. He can make his own way, has, and will continue to do so.

Guess I don't care enough about Wazzu or Leach to have noticed he is fading, though based on what I have seen when nothing else was on at 12:30 am on a Sunday, I am not surprised to hear that expectation.

Craig's son is one legacy recruit I would have a very hard time seeing not coming to UK even if OSU and the other elites come calling.

I hope he comes to UK because he is a Kentucky kid and legacy son of a ex UK great. There is however a lot of RBs just as good or better than him out there if he doesn't want to be a Cat.

he's not a running back and he doesnt live in kentucky.

Not yet......Craig is in the running for the head coaching job at Woodford Co. (KY) high school.

why? His first 2 yrs at WSU were far better than Stoops' were here so I doubt he's under any more pressure.

I'm guessing Wazoo fans were expecting a little better than 3-9, 6-7 and 3-9 after 3 seasons. He's 12-25 heading into year 4, so yeah, this could be the make or break year for Leach. To top it off, he hasn't endeared himself to many people in the Palouse. When you are winning 8 games a year, people overlooked his bizarre antics. When you are losing games at the rate he is at WSU, it's no longer funny.

My Bad. You are right of course that he is a WR like his father. Someone more in the know than me please tell if he didn't play football for a school in Ashland at one time.

I went to game against Elyria. Yeast has got some wheels. Really nice long stride. He is very thin and fairly tall. Was solid on defense as well. Took several plays off and tended to pout a little. Obviously wanted the ball more. Dad is a very good coach and has done an excellent job. He got a huge smile on his face when he saw our UK sweatshirts.

After some thought I remember that the kid that played for Ashland which I was mistaking for Yeast was Baker a RB recruit that is also the son of an ex UK football player.

hate to toot my own horn but i was the first to bring young yeast up on this board. i was watching old UK highlights on youtube and while watching yeast light up florida i scrolled through the comments. toward the end was a post from a kid claiming to be craig yeast son and that one day he'd come to UK and shatter all his dad's records. i immediately looked up hudl highlights on him and thought he was good but then realized the highlights were from a freshman playing varsity ball and was really excited.
i know kids change but if that kid had in his mind coming to UK and shattering records a few years ago and we have a spread offense in place that would allow him the chance to do that.... then i dont see much stopping him from being a cat! his dad is a legend here. if we were gonna sign a legacy... this is the one to get. i would love to see what he looks like this year though. has had to of changed a bunch since the video i watched of his soph year. lol
