Sure are, they won the Corvalis Regional, the Los Angeles Super Regional, and now won their 1st CWS game over Texas Tech !Win 1st CWS game when 4 weeks ago it looked like they wouldn't even make the field.
FSU one of last four in.Win 1st CWS game when 4 weeks ago it looked like they wouldn't even make the field.
VANDY vs u6 winner is your WS champs...GO DORES!Wow, Michigan-FSU winner will be in driver's seat to reach CWS final series.
So was Michigan, you just never know. Team gets on a roll.........FSU one of last four in.
I'm definitely one !! Good #s and we'll see how it turns out, but tell me which one of those guys had 13 players drafted and didn't make ncaa tournament? Also, please give me something to be enthusiastic about for our future outside of having one of the best facilities in America.I bet Michigan fans are glad they didn't get fire Bakich after three seasons. His record was worse than NMs with a much lower strength of schedule. I'm sure Vandy fans are glad Tim Corbin didn't get fired after 3 seasons, with a slightly better record than NMs. I'm sure Georgia fans are glad that Scott Stricklin is still around after starting out with 4 straight losing seasons. And NMs record compares favorably to Chris Lemonis' first 3 seasons at Indiana.
As a UK football fan, I'm sure glad Mitch gave Brooks and Stoops a chance to build things the way they wanted to.
I know many don't want to see these records and will find a way around them to support their agenda that Baseball needs to clean house. So be it.
I'm not trying to make anyone enthusiastic about the future. That's up to each individual. I just put out a few numbers that show some programs that stuck with coaches that had worse or similar numbers as UKs.I'm definitely one !! I believe in our staff and players and think there will be big improvement next year. Most of our returning lineup now have a year of experience. The pitching staff is still a big concern. But I'm not going to say that after another year of development they can't get SEC hitters out. Everything remains to be seen.
Many in the industry think the 2018 team should have made the tournament. And if they had, with Lewis and Thompson healthy again, who's to say they couldn't have made a run like Auburn did this year.
I'm just not ready to give up on our current team. If we're having this same conversation next Summer, I may change my mind.
With Henderson's players , NM went to the super regional his first year. Since then it's been all downhill and looks like there are no breaks at the moment.Uh... Michigan won the Big 10 tournament in Bakich's 3rd season.

We'll see what happens when next year is worse than '19.Exactly. The Michigan guy was trending up while Mingione is trending down. Not sure why our fellow poster compared the two
