Might as well get ALL the rumors out there

I used to pull for UM out of hatred of OSU and all things Suckeye. I used to pull for PSU out of (likely misplaced) respect for Paterno. I can now state unequivocally that my disdain for all things B10 is general, with the possible exception of Wisconsin football.

Whats up with Mich ragging on UK, when was the last time you 2 played each other? I guess they are showing their swag after getting Harbaugh

If thats the case everbody would be ragging on UK, you are hammering people, and soon we will join the list. But we on the list of lots of schools, we been hammered by many.

Lol. I guess this proves that Mich is back now that they are spending their time talking about us. Although oddly enough with the construction going on some of the stadium is literally being carted away and sold for scrap.

We also took Booker away from them in basketball.

This is funny. The last time Michigan made headlines in CFB they were getting their a$$ whupped by Appalachian State....its been 10 years since their last conference championship.

Their HC hire is a home run in that it is the best most teams could possibly hope for.....but that doesn't mean it will return them to glory.

They might be relegated to the "hard luck" pile of FB greats (national champs) who once thought they had the perfect hire along with:

-Nebraska (remember when Pelini was a homerun hire?),
-Washington (multiple hires but consistent flatlining),
-Colorado (formerly a player, failed hires,...now putrid),
-Texas (Brown won one with a once in a generation QB but otherwise disappointed & Strong isn't),
-Syracuse (sucking wind for a generation),
-Clemson (charter members of underachiever's anonymous....curse of Danny Ford),
-UGAg (see Clemson....Vince & Herschel ain't walking through that door),
-Notre Dame (multiple big hires since Louie left the dome tarnished....the gift that keeps on giving....land of phantom FB proficiency and fake girlfriends),
-SoCAL (probably premature to put them in this list, but we are a decade away from their last championship),
-Penn St (2 hires since they were done in by senility within their AARP coaching staff),
-Miami (best recruits in the US within the shadow of the school but over a decade since the U part 2 (2001)),
-Oklahoma (same long-term coach but frequent whiffing since Stoops' 2002 championship),

Bottom line.....there have been a host of perfect hires at big time/national championship programs, and there are nearly as many disappointing failures. Shoot it is conceivable Urban Meyer could lose to Oregon and never sniff another National Championship opportunity (see Butch Davis at Miami).

Either way....Harbaugh will be fun to watch.....he will either burn brightly, melt down.....or both. Pass the popcorn!

GBB!

It was undoubtedly the best hire they could have made, but I agree it's no guarantee as your list shows. All those programs are frothing at the mouth with all the money and prestige the playoff system brings, but obviously most of them will fail to get there.

We UK fans can take heart. The once proud, but now worst program in the big 5 conferences is just a couple of miles down the street. Want to talk to an truly angry, totally disgusted college football fan? Just find a CU fan.

If a school like Michigan is ragging on us, we must be going in the right direction.

That's my level of thinking too. We are doing something right and getting into people's mind when teams like Michigan are taking notice.

The state of Michigan sucks, nobody wants to live there anymore. Detroit is a cesspool and the Rust Belt blows. The women are easy but they're not pretty.

I hate to be the negative nancy here, but yeah, about 6,000 seats IIRC. But then everyone should know mitche's main priority with football, MONEY, and while he cost UK million before he wised up letting a few hundred thou go to Marrow probably made/saved UK a million or more.

But we don't know what really happened, if Marrow's financial advisor is worth a damn, he told him to give Marrow whatever he wanted on the side, I don't think it is illegal, both Brooks and now Harbaugh have done that looks like. I still say $100K invested in Marrow might make Stoops a million in a few years in a new contract whether he stays here forever or chases more money.
