Conference keeps on taking embarrassing losses. Losing to Miami isn't that bad but by this margin it is.
Saw the first 15 minutes of this one. Wow it was ugly. Miami should be a solid team, but MSU isn't very good. They did just lose to Southern the other day.
Yup. Although it's not like Russell Westbrook was this great college player. Actually I thought those Final Four teams Howland had at UCLA should have been able to score more than they did. Howland will recruit well and MSU will be much better as a result, but their offense will look uglier than it should quite often IMO.
Malik Newman is really gonna hurt his brand by going to msu. In hindsight i'm glad we whiffed on him because we probably would have never got Murray. IMO malik should have went to KU they could really use a elite guard and he would have got a lot of exposure.
who or what is Dar ? LOL UM is damn good this year but Miss St blows . Newman was delusional to go there and think he could win . I hope we beat them by 100 so that moron will have to repeat how thinks Miss St can win like UK .

Even when Cal doesn't get what he wants, he still somehow finds a way to fall backwards into something even better in terms of talent, coachability, and team chemistry.

Dang.....Newman just didn't close out on his man and gave up a 3. Then the very next possession he passes on a wide open look at a 3 for a drive that ends in a pass to Miami for a layup going the other way. Murray's shot selection leaves a little to be desired but so far it appears we lucked into the vastly superior player.
Why keep reading and posting here then if what we have to say bothers you that much? Ya know, there are boards out there that are tailored to your team and your perspective/agenda if you don't like what you read on here.
I wonder why Newman isn't starting. Howland's recruiting momentum could stop as soon as it started if Newman doesn't reach his potential. It's not like it hasn't happened already at UCLA. I thought Newman wouldn't make it as a pg, maybe he'll be moved to his natural position at the two soon.

For the record, offering an alternative opinion that is unfounded in reality and goes against the consensus (or "echo chamber" as you put it) doesn't make you a trailblazing independent thinker lending a unique outsider perspective to our biased hivemind like you're trying to present it as, it just makes you pompous and ignorant.

Choosing to not judge a talented freshmen after only two games is unfounded in reality? Those steep expectations is what has left UK fans so heartbroken the past two seasons.
