Meadows and Johnson Back on Depth Chart

Any word on Flannigan?

He should be back this week.

It really just hit me that we were without two starting LBs and a 2 deep DT for the first game. While it probably wouldn't have made much difference against ULL; one would think getting a full compliment of players in our already slim defensive depth will only help going forward. Also, considering all three D players out the first game were veterans I'm gonna hold a little of my worry until I see us at full strength. Hopefully Hatcher returns against Florida hungry and ready to play.

we need flanigan back, but the shoulder is such a tricky thing. shoulder injuries linger, and the fact that your shoulder is involved in every single tackle and takes a beating worries me.

It could recur at any time. I don't think you can do anything but play him and hope for the best.

Flanigans pain tolerance is really what it amounts to...it's football it is gonna hurt out there, just a matter of if you can play thru it.

I am beginning to worry about Flannigan. Every time reporters ask about when he will return, Stoops acts as if he's frustrated with his condition. I hope he gets back on the field this week. But like the other posters, I'm not convinced he will be "good to go".

It seems like Stoops was irritated by the question being asked repeatedly, rather than whether or not Flannigan was back yet.

We need all of them. Fr did not play well and that was at home not at a SEC road game. Meadows Flannigan and Hatcher and Walker. Our Fr lbs were awful. George AA not good either. Too soon for them

because stoops doesn't clear players... the medical staff does and he doesn't even have a say in it. the medical staff tells him when an injured player is good to go and they haven't so far. so he is probably just tired of explaining that to them. he said it in at least 3 interviews last week and at least once already this week "as soon as i know i'll tell you"... but they keep asking.
