McMurphy's latest bowl predictions

He's predicting Georgia makes playoffs, but no other SEC team makes NY6.
I'd be happy with a texas bowl bid to shake it up with a big 12 team.

I saw that, we are having too many injuries to key people. Lost starting RB preseason, pre season ALL OT who was playing like it had surgery on ankle this week, pre season all SEC WR has not taken a snap, out with back. Right now we hav1 1 scholarshipped back, a walk-on and a WR healthy enough to play at RB. Missing a couple starters on defense but depth is good there and not much drop off. Been lucky with those for a couple years, hitting hard this season. With that said, don't see us going to playoffs, I think there could be 4 undefeated teams and SEC not have one and get left out this year.

Grumpy- I hope you are wrong - but so far the SEC is not looking like it usually does. However, saying that. Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri and UK are still all unbeaten. No one is beating world beaters - but that is still 5 unbeatens. Many people thought the league would still have at least 8 at this point. It has really been a strange year all around so far! I thought LSU, Tennessee and Alabama would still be unbeaten now. So, this could be the year for the strange SEC championship match up - Ole Miss or Auburn versus Kentucky or Missouri - well that would be a lot of laughs from most fans - and I know that it is almost 100% not going to happen - but it would be interesting if it did - in the last year of divisions! Everyone is still in it as of now though - so who really knows?

UK has played down to its competition - we haven't looked like UK normally does the last 4 or 5 seasons at this time. But I also see a lot of signs that this team could be very good when we look back. Our special teams have hurt us a lot in most years, but this year the special teams are looking like a weapon - that is a dramatic change from past years! It's time for UK to get some breaks as to injuries, ball bounces and even flags in a season - if those things happened, this could turn out really well for the Cats. Georgia still has the talent and now the swagger of two straight Nattys! Those are two things that are hard to match. Wish we could have caught the Dogs in Lexington - can't see UK winning between the Hedges (but I was in Athens when a real prince attended one year - and UK won 33-0 - lol!) - I expect another good battle when that game rolls around.

Go Big Blue!

All good points, I think the SEC is more tightly bunched than in recent years. There doesn't seem to be 1 or 2 teams that are clearly better than everyone else, rather there are 4 for sure and maybe as many as 6 who have a chance to be very good.

I believe we get a taste of who is who in the SEC this week. From the UK perspective we are still wondering, who are these guys? We aren't likely to have any definitive after this weekend (unless we lose to Vandy) If we are who I think we are we will put up 35 to 40+ on Vandy. The question is can we hold them to less than 25.
Aub/A&M ARK/LSU and OLE Miss /ALA will be interesting. If OLE Miss can go to ALA and pull off a win then things get real for a bunch of teams.

The bowl games are funny like that. We played Iowa purely for the stoops/Iowa storyline. Seen it coming a mile away. Part 2 was just gross. Stay far far away from Iowa please.
If we have some high profile players opt out of any bowl game from here on out, very few fans will attend. Last years was pitiful, I know the trend, but up until last year it didn't affect Kentucky. hopefully that won't happen this year, if we make a bowl game.

Got to aim for higher than a date with Kansas.
That was our annual “Battle of the Basketball Royalty” Bowl prediction.

Give me Duke in the Mayo Bowl and a box of Cracker Jacks and I’m headed back to Charlotte or wherever that Bowl is played!!!

Seriously, I’m still wanting a NYD6.

TX Bowl in Houston wouldn't be so bad. Nice change of scenery and a different conference opponent. I'd like UK to go to the Vegas Bowl one year. That would be fun.

Sorry players are injured and I wish them the best, but hoping their returns are about 4 games away.

Still holding out for a damn Outback Bowl or whatever they call it these days.

Reliaquest, or something like that.

And that is my base hoped for destination.

I think the SEC gets 3 in the 12 NY 6”” bowls, we can be one of the three. The Citrus Bowl eats next. Then Reliaquest, and the Group of Six.
