Confidence isn't going to give him 20 more lbs of muscle in his lower body and core.
Or standing up straight during rebounding
or being out of position for help defense
or trying to block tony parker when he was behind the effing back board, and give him an escape by trying to block an already impossible shot to go in.
If you are waiting on him getting more muscle, you're going to stay disappointed with him. But if he learns to improve on the other points you mentioned it will help with his game.

I would think he can gain at least 5-7 lbs muscle by march. Do heavy weight, focus on muscle gain. We still have 4 months right? Eat a lot of eggs, Rocky Style.
This reminds me how Pitino tried to get Walter McCarty to pick up weight during the season by making him drink multiply milk shakes a day. Some guys just don't pick up weight easy, especially during the season with games and practices.
