Maybe next year when we start winning 8,9,10 games we will get something more than passing coverage on the SEC network. I know I am looking through my blue colored glasses, but, good grief I think it's really that bad. I just want to hear more from the coaches, players and etc. I do appreciate some coverage and the thought we may win 8 games. Stinchcomb seems to like us also. Over my rant now. Go Big Blue!

There will be gnashing of teeth by some of the SEC team's we play this year. So by the half way point we will get plenty of coverage.

People forget but at mid-season last year ESPN and SEC Net were discussing Kentucky as possibly winning the East. We are getting a ton of respect after that fast start out of the gate.

So the bottom line is, you get the respect when you earn it, and we don't have to wait until next year.

Not so much about respect but about equality. Alabama, Auburn, LSU fans are no different from UK fans. I don't know how the SEC network is set up but I would think somehow equal time should have been considered. KYCAT78 may be correct though. We get a make up for football during basketball season. I like basketball also, but, I love football. Can't get enough.

If they talked nonstop about bball, it wouldn't make up for lack of coverage in Football. When KY fans want to talk re bball, they just roll their eyes at the SEC network and other SEC schools. bball is nothing more than a diversion...a discussion to be had between the end of Football season and the beginning of college baseball season.

The SEC network is nothing more than a love-fest for the most southern schools, specifically Bama and Auburn. After that, the Mississippi schools seem to get the most air time (who knows why), then fla, uga, usc, ut. IMO, Finebaum is the primary conspirator.

Let's be honest, they still won't cover us. Missouri has won back to back SEC East titles and they still get overlooked for the "traditional" powerhouses.
Unfortunately, there is probably more than a little bit of truth in that statement.

Vandy's success under Franklin has already become ancient history. Mizzou and aTm still seem like conference outsiders. On that point, I was able to catch a UofL/UCONN game in Hartford some years after UofL had joined the BE. Exciting game between 2 top programs. I arrived pretty early to check out the venue and converse with some UCONN fans. UofL was respected as a "good" team but their fans still identified their traditional BE opponents (e.g., Syracuse, G-town, St. John, et. al) as their real opponents.

It seems like the newbies and traditional "also rans" are seen in a similar light within the traditional SEC footprint. JMO.

Peace

Win games, get more coverage. Going to have to win A LOT of games to get a lot of coverage, and even then Alabama football is alway going to get the most coverage year in and year out. 15 natty titles will do that for you as a program (although a couple are roll your eyes at worthy in terms of how legit they are). Teams like Missouri, UK, and Vandy and even SC to an extent do not get the coverage FL, UT and UGA do in the east portion of the coverage on the network.
