Told you guys TB was a great recruiter with Cal as an assistant, that was why he was offered HC jobs.

I would hope he has reignited that here, unless all of these are just Cal and Payne but I would doubt it.

Kenny Payne for most part-but Barbee has great eye for what Cal likes--athletic/tough players and being a former player for Cal he can speak to Cal/Robic/KP about things that fit what they like/don't fit what they like.

This. I don't think some people realize that Barbee was one of Cal's lead recruiters at Memphis for years leading up to his first head coaching job. Memphis's recruiting was pretty good.
