Kid is a baller at CB. He's been the surprise of the year so far to me. He can flat out scoot and has good ball skills.

He makes some mistakes, and needs reps but he was flying to the ball today like you like to see. JQ looked better in coverage too. Hopefully they continue to rope it in.
Has good fundamentals and is a physical player that is a good tackler
Got a bit of swagger to him too. Big time effort guy doesn’t take plays off.
I noticed him as well. He made three tackles in about a minute of game time for loss or no gain. I especially liked how they threw one of those swing passes and he submarined the blocker AND runner.
He's been the biggest surprise so far this year. I figured Hardaway was brought in to start at the CB spot opposite of Phillips but Hairston has really separated himself.
Dude had that Dawg in him last night and came out ready to Ball last night.
First qtr on that short pass he basically exploded through the guy trying to block him and tackled them both. Explosive and aggressive.
Much better than hardaway. Cbs will lose some in coverage, but there's no excuse for the weak edge force hardaway consistently showed. Thank God we already pulled him.
For comparison, a few years ago we let Cedric Dort cost us 2+ games (msu and UT) by letting him by with refusing to take on blockers and help his teammates by setting an edge

Of all the great individual plays last night on offense, this was the one play that got me out of my seat and WOW'ed!!! This kid is a PLAYER!!!! Our back 4 may give up a few passes, but they will POP you all night long!!
He is an excellent example of staying put and developing. Grinding it out is starting to pay off for him and the team. I thought that Fearby showed some flashes last night - especially when he defended that pass play about 25 yards down field on the side line. Quite impressive. The tackle chart had a good distribution in that mant players had tackles - and the substitutions were made early and often.
