Did anyone hear Matt talking about the audit that is being done at UL and when it comes out it will be very interesting. He also talked about Jurich being the one that runs the university and not the President. I read about some of the staff that had been paid an exorbitant amount of money 'to keep their mouth shut' and they have hired a person that was at UNC.

What is this audit? Is it an independent audit conducted by whom? Are they able to release to the public ? I know the press tried to get their Athletic Association records and gave up
I doubt he knows anything worthwhile about an audit at UL. He's likely just trying to rattle cages.

Don't know the details of the audit. I do know there was one and UL has failed to meet the demands of the open records request. It may be all about nothing, but why not just release all the findings?
He's mentioned it several times over the past 6 months. 2nd Chance U. has not been cooperating, most likely paying people off/shredding documents/burying the bodies etc. Pretty sure Jones said today report will be coming out this summer.
UL had over $7 mill embezzled or mismanaged. An outside audit was done, that found all these discrepancies. The athletic dept was one of many departments listed. The audit was completed during the summer, and UL has still yet to provide the audit, per the open records act.

It makes it a lot easier to be successful if your program is allowed to be run without any scruples or restraint as the UofL athletics department has operated under Jurich.
Best AD in the country if you are uneducated and brainwashed by local Louisville media propaganda. Facts don't even come CLOSE to supporting that outlandish claim.

Jurich runs that university and not Dr. Ramsey. There has been a lot in the paper about professors retiring and receiving lots of money 'to keep their mouths shut'. Several members of the Board of Trustees have come out saying that they are not happy with some things being done at the university and not being informed. I am really looking forward to the 'audit' when it comes out.
If you have no regard for ethics or integrity, then I would agree. However, I think those are integral parts to being "the best" AD, so Jurich would not be my choice.
Turtle Neck probably has 5 people waiting to write a $7 million check right now and he will make an extra $28 million on the deal. He is a crooked as they come. He will end up in jail when it is all said and done. Anyone who thinks he is going anywhere is wrong. He cant or all the skeletons in the closet will pop out.
Louisville media would rather discuss UK's trip to the Bahama's, which of course, was open to public record and absolutely nothing to hide. But somehow that is a story and a hidden audit is not.
If UK was hiding an audit then the LHL would never stop...never until they got it.
The leaders in Louisville are insanely jealous of UK, especially now that UK has completely left UL in the dust in terms of a medial complex. UK and Lexington will be the health care leader in the state for years to come. UK has been working on this for years while UL has been focused on athletics. UL hires Ramsey and UK hires an expert in the medical industry as president.
If Jurich is the best AD in the state, then Capilouto is by far the best President. What he is doing at UK is really fantastic. The campuses really do not compare and I suspect UK is not going to raise another $1.5 billion and push even further ahead.

Yep. A lot are receiving a lot of hush money. Professors, administrators, and I think even their lawyer received large buy outs. Definitely something being hidden.
