Opinions of Saturday match ups? It seems to be a guards game.

Lee= Ulis ,if Ulis ever starts shooting to his ability.

Murray>Snider

Lewis>Brsicoe

I bet UL presses and then falls back in to a matchup zone.

OP there is no way that Ulis and Lee would matchup and if they did that would be a nice advantage for uofl. To say Lee=Ulis is being quite the homer.

Ulis will match with Snyder---adv Ulis

Murray will match with Lee----Push and maybe slight advantage Lee

Briscoe will match with Lewis--slight advantage Lewis

I'd match Lee or Skal with Spalding--slight advantage Lee or Skal

Poythress with onuaku---advantage Poy.

Louisville doesn't have a lot in the post so if there was a game that Skal could find himself it could be this one. Uofl will be very perimeter oriented while we will look to drive the ball hard to the hole if uofl plays their hard nosed defense which for this game would work to our advantage because we have the guards to counter it.

If uofl sags off and clogs the lane then we will need to hit the open jump shots to loosen that up. I would put a lineup in of Ulis, Murray, Poy, Skal and Willis to combat that as all of then can hit the open jump shots.

Ooooh what you said...

I think you are correct, if Skal can't be productive in this one (to the tune of 10+ points and 5 rbs) then he will have problems the rest of the year

I will agree that Lewis has played much better than Tyler has this year. Tyler will shoot the ball better (i hope) as the year goes on. I was going to put advantage Lewis but really didn't want to catch all the flak that would come with that assertion. The 2 graduate transfers for Louisville have been much better than many of us UK fans thought.

I love how overconfident their fans are. Apparently, they are gonna beat us by about 15, and it would be way worse if it was the bucket.

Perhaps you mixed up Lewis and Lee--Ulis would matchup a lot better with Lewis as Lee is 6'5 I believe.

The key to Kentucky winning this year is going to be Skal and Poythress. From everything we've seen so far Ulis, Murray, and Briscoe for the most part bring it every game. Lee has been pretty consistent too. But if Poythress and Skal show up Kentucky shouldn't have no problems with Louisville.

I like Alex on Lee at times to shut him down. Lee catch and shoot guy. Alex can handle him. Briscoe controls Lewis. Tyler tough and a magician will play above Snyder. Lou has solid players but UK has pros. Skal Derek Marcus and Humpries can play here are active. UK does not lose in Rupp.

I meant Lee. Brain fog. Lewis is 6'5" and a matchup problem. I had it right in my original post. Sorry.

Sorry you still have them mixed up. Damian Lee is 6'6 and trey Lewis is 6'2. No worries I don't pay much attention to them either. Only watched their one gave against MSU. Had to google their roster didn't even know Lewis' first name or actual height, just knew he was shorter than Lee.
