Maryland playing Bowie State tonight

Why play the game?
Why not just donate them some money with a check and save everybody's time?
#2 team in the country has no business playing a Division II team at this point in the season.

I've watched and been around basketball for a Loooooooooooooong time, and I've never heard of Bowie St.
Had to google it and see who the hell they were.

I saw that on my yahoo sports app and had to do a double take. I was just like who? All I can think of is someone at UM knows someone really well at this Bowie St and scheduled the game, but no idea why it's happening in Feb.

Was this a game that got delayed because of weather or something? That's the only reason I could come up with for why it's being played now.
