I really like Marcus Lee. He seems like a great kid. But what the hell?

For the first half of this season, Marcus played pretty well. Looking through his game-by-game stats, he was at or near a double-double in about 10 of our games early in the season. Then, he disappeared at LSU (2 rebs, 0 pts, 5 mins). Bounce-back game at Alabama (11 rebs, 8 pts). Since then, he's just disappeared.

We have very little margin for error this year. Everybody has to do their job or we're toast. Marcus has to rebound (including offensive boards), block shots and play defense. This is all effort and energy. And he's giving us zero.

What changed for him? He's just not bringing it. I really don't understand.

He's a volleyball player trying to be a (bad) basketball player.

It isn't working. Fully expect him to be elsewhere next season.

But he was a pretty good basketball player (in his role) for the first part of the season. Why could he do it then but not now?

He's done a complete 180, it's crazy to think about. I completely forgot he was putting up decent numbers to begin with, he's taken that big of a step back. Lee has been the biggest disappointment for me this year. I really was hoping to see him thrive. I never expected him to be an AA or lottery pick, but I didn't see this coming. It seems hes just playing 6-8 minutes a game before fouling out with no production. He even seems to lack his usual energy and enthusiasm.

I have no idea how an NBA GM would even consider drafting Lee this summer. It isn't even possible at this point, is it?

Whoever declared him a mcds all american should make him eat mcds 24/7. Then that douchebag who made that call should consider a career change.

Butthurt over losing his starting position to the homegrown white boy.
This aint rocket science people.

How do you regress when you are a junior and you have waited for your chance, now he has his chance and he is blowing it, I know Marcus is probably a role player but there is no reason he can't defend and rebound, he moves to good to be fouling out. It has to be mental, he must be thinking to much. We know what he can do, hopefully he gets back to that point.

Marcus Lee? He's no more or less now than Perry Stevenson. And if he's back next year he'll get about the same minutes Perry did as a SR, about 8-9 mpg.

Total bust. Nice guy though.
