A junior and a senior. They're both the same players they were when they got here.

That's why this team is underachieving IMO.

We really needed those two to step up and shine and lead with Ulis this year and it hasn't come close to happening

It's the difference in having a good team and an average team.

Our lack of a post scorer and post defender is KILLING our chances of winning.

Lee might as well have 2 fouls when he steps off the bus at a road game

AP spinning into a double team in a crucial spot was predictable.

Don't you f'ing dare blame Alex and Marcus. The damn ball hog loving guards never throw them the ball. They can't help it.

Role Players. It's just who they are. We don't have a good back-to-the-basket guy. It's just who we are. Duke is having the same problem right now.

Usually, they throw it right back like it's a hot potato....unless they've got a open dunk which they both excel at completing. Neither one of them are offensive threats.

Yet some people say we don't need Bolden. If this season has shown us anything, it's that you can't have enough big men.

WE have ZERO POST OFFENSE!!!

Our Guards have to score or we get beat!!! We fed the ball to Alex and he allowed the defender that has very little talent block his shot and take the ball away from him!!!

Marcus was no better and when he gets fouled he can't make a free throw. Skal isn't strong enough to even get position.

Sure Murray bricked too many shots, but feeding it inside is equivalent to a turnover.

This roster is pretty sorry. how do we end up with this front line at UK?

We went to Alex 2 or 3 times late in the game. He hit 2 free throws, spun into a double team and threw the ball off the backboard, and got stuffed by a shorter less athletic guy. He doesn't have any ball skills, has bad hands, and forgets to jump 90% of the time he takes the ball to the hoop.

Marcus Lee is a 37% free throw shooter, is 6'9, has a 40" vertical and as a junior still doesn't have a single go to move in the post. And like Alex, seems like he just forgets to jump have the time he tries to score.

Dont expect a guy with five shots to be a big presence guards need to set up better to its not a TRIANGLE OFFENSE but played like one

Sure Lee has a "go to" move.........it's a left handed jump hook.........that barely draws iron
How does a guy that can only hit a dunk, think about throwing up a left handed shot

There is no consistent low post presence to play through. Puts all the pressure on the guards to try and make plays. The guards know they can't throw it down low to a player in the post with his back to the basket. Ask yourself how many times you saw that happen today.

I would absolutely bench Poythress. He is a senior and should lead. His effort is pathetic 90% of the time. He is not getting drafted. Jesus Christ, he couldn't play in D league.
Every player is not destined to be an NBA player. All 5* are not equal. KAT,AD, DeMarcus are true 5*. People should not get wrapped up in recruiting rankings. Alex has a 5* body and athleticism, but has poor basketball skill and IQ.
Lee? Don't know what's going on but he needs to be a role player.
Skal needs a lot of work on his body, his IQ and he needs to toughen up with play, not bring baited into stupid techs.
