I’m happy to see that this wasn’t a two year ban like it was for OJ Mayo and Tyreke Evans. When people are struggling, taking away their passion can often lead someone already walking a dark road down a much worse path. I hope that he is getting the help he needs and can continue to stay clean. Addiction is one hell of a battle.
Wishing the best for Malik. No sense in going negative on a person dealing with such a problem. Hope he gets proper help and back in the game, both on and off the court.

Yea he was reinstated . People on twitter did say cocaine but it’s not official by anyone credible . Not sure why the guess was cocaine
I started praying for him when I saw and opened the thread 30 seconds ago, and by the time I scrolled to the end he was reinstated -- my best results yet!

Cocaine is out of your system so fast idk how youd fail a drug test if you know its coming. Either way glad to hear hes back, was playing really well before the season ended

You never know it is coming . They test players after games , before practice and so on without them getting any warning . IF it was coke , which we still don't know , as you said it leaves your system in 1-5 days so he had to done it recently to fail. But again we have no idea what drug it really was . Regardless stupid to do drugs when you are living the dream like that.
Help is only as good as his desire to stay away...know from family issue. Most can't do it.
He coulda been out partying and done some MDMA on a whim. Not sure why everyone is so sure it was coke. Who the hell knows though? If he was snorting a couple rails off a strippers ass one night, who am I to condemn him for it? I’ve done so many drugs in my life, and besides weed, it was usually spur of the moment. Never cared for cocaine at all. Sometimes I miss the days when I could take a hit of acid and not have any responsibilities to worry about.
