I said a few weeks back he was better than Murray and the best SG that Cal has ever had and was told to slow down. Players with his athletic ability and shooting abilities don't come around often.

I am not the hyperbole/superlative type, but when you're on pace to score 800+ points in a season it's reasonable
He may be the best offensive guard. Does not play good enough defense or rebound but we need his scoring.
We need 2 years of Monk. He would be even better next year for us. It's a shame.

Monk is balls out offense. Prone to lolly gagging at the other end though. Dude is ridiculous all in all.
He's perfect for the NBA. However, I thought that Mr. Monk showed some DEFENSE tonight...maybe?
Yes he had two blocks in first half when he decided to use his athleticism on the defensive end and it appeared to sharpen his game staring with the defense.
Monk went absolutely ape chyt in the 2nd half last night. I love knowing hoards of UK haters were watching and had to limp off to bed, denied.
His defenisive intensity is picking up as well. He just needs to cut that fall away jumper from the baseline out and he'll be on pace for where we need him in March/April.

He's the best offensive player I've seen here since Mashburn. And he's way better than Mash was as a freshman.
