Sorry if already posted, but the new Makers Mark bottle goes on sale Friday. It is part of a series honoring Coach Rupp and several of our most recent NC's. This one depicts the Untouchables and is third in a series of five bottles to be released. I'm predicting that the fifth bottle will depict our 9th NC that will come in 2019, while I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong by next year's team.

do you know where to get one? I live in Nashville but not sure if I can find one in Franklin KY or maybe Bowling Green. Unless you can find some for retail?

Got 3 of them this morning, 2 for myself and 1 for someone else. Froze outside of Liquor Barn waiting since just after 6 AM to be in line.

Was able to get 2 of them...have a very nice cousin whose buddy owns a liquor store! Excited to add it to the other two.

I don't live in Lexington. I was just curious. What does the LB sell their MM UK bottles for?

If anyone has an extra they are willing to part with, you would make a die hard fan a happy guy!!!

You've got more dedication than me.

That's better than the liquor stores here in western KY. Most mark that up to 100$.

You should report them to Makers Mark then...Makers sets the price to be charged (within a $10 range I believe). Stores are not allowed to jack up the prices

Unfortunately, as with most things UK the demand far exceeds the supply and a lot of non-UK fans buy out the bottles to re-sale online at a huge mark up. I live in Louisville and by 10:00am every liquor store I contacted said they were already sold out. I have a feeling most store owners keep the bottles for themselves, friends or family. Good luck, but EBay/Craigslist is probably your best bet at this point. Then again, by buying online you're continuing to feed the monster.

In my opinion Makers Mark should sell the bottles directly from their distillery and only allow one bottle per person. This would eliminate most of the people trying to make a quick buck and put a majority of the bottles in true fans hands. Good luck!

I believe I can get my hands on an extra 2017 Untouchables Makers Mark bottle. If so, I'm looking to trade it for any of the following Bottles in excellent condition:

2001 Rivalry Set (2 Bottles)
2001 Wildcats bottle
2002 Keenland Keightley bottle
2006 Rupp Runts bottle
2008 Keenland Joe B Hall bottle

Let me know if interested and please note that I'm only looking to trade not sale the extra bottle if I can get it. Thanks.

It's obnoxious at this point.

Everyone I've talked to bought as many as they could with the intent of selling them at 125-150. While some stores are indeed jacking the price up, people are just trying to make a quick buck. Realistically, I don't want to get up at 5 and wait out in the cold for several hours, I'm willing to pay a little extra for that convenience. But, 100$ upcharge? LOL

The stores are a pain now too. I'm in Madisonville and EVERY liquor store had them pre-promised except 1, and they said they were trying to figure out what to charge for them. But it does seem to be a theme that stores allover the state were charging more than the usual 50-55$

4+4+1-1=8;
I have an extra bottle that I will sell for what I paid for it, $80
I was able to four, two at $45 and two at $80.
Three of them are mine. The other one I bought just for the hell of it.
I live in Louisville as well.
Let me know if you are interested.

I have two sets of all the bottles you listed, but they are in my collection and wont be sold or traded until I am in my grave.

I agree that there are some greedy people out there. However, selling them at the distillery one per person would eliminate any chance of someone, like me, who lives out of state getting one. I was lucky enough to not get completely ass raped on someone sending me one.

Yeah and I couldn't imagine the chaos with 13000 people standing in line at Maker's Mark waiting for theirs.

I've been buying the bottles since the original blue wax one came out back in 1993. I'm close to running out of room, however I don't ever seeing me selling my collection. Like a previous poster in this thread said in this thread I'd have to be dead before I'd my bottles were sold.

I have mostly the UK related and Keeneland makers bottles. Plus I have a couple of bottles from Japan (Gold and Black) my aunt brought me back from when she visited there. Plus a few other special bottles that were released (9/11 bottle, Christmas bottle, Mint Julip, UL University anniversary).

Theres some that were released I missed out on but theyre nothing I'm interested in getting because I don't have have the room for them. However i'd like to get on some kind of list for when they release a rare bottle in case I'd like to buy one.

Going back to how the bottles get sold. I think they need to come up with a better system than the way they do it now. My Aunt went and stood in line at liquor barn at 5 AM to make sure she could get at least two bottles. Well she got priority for the first bottle, then she said after everyone got through. said a employee came out and asked if anyone there showed up after 9am and they let them jump ahead of the people getting back in line. Now I think its only fair that everyone has the right to get a hold of a bottle but I dont think it's right that they let people jump the line.

Maybe a better system is to have a set time that customers can line up to buy the bottle? That you can't line up until an hour before the store opens? If you have late starters in the morning whod rather not get up so early to buy a bottle. I don't know what the better solution would be. All I know is when the employee let the late starters jump the line after everyone else. My aunt said she let it be known how she felt about it lol

Like you said the the bottles honor our National Championships but it's the coaches and not the teams. Therefore the 4th and 5th bottles already are assigned coaches. The 4th bottle will have Tubby on it and the 5th will be Cal from winning it in 2012.

As far as the new bottle having the Untouchables on it and not Rick Pitino speaks for itself. The bottles are a fundraiser for UK and UK didn't want Pitino to be on the bottle due to his recent actions. Therefore they put his team on it instead of him.
