Not sure, honestly, who else to give it to but, while he had a really good game, it wasn't just off the charts, was it? Threw for 182 yards and 3 TDs with no picks. Definitely a nice stat line but, again, he's had much, much better lines in other games. He did run for some critical yards so I guess I can't disagree too vehemently. The RB carries were spread around as were the receptions. So, Mahomes maybe received it as much by 'there really wasn't another good candidate' vs. he really played lights out. There really wasn't another candidate, TBH.
To me, the real MVP was Andy Reid. In previous big games, he's fallen in love with the passing game and, imo, cost his team some victories. Thought he called a GREAT game, especially the 2nd half, last night. I know he's not a player and can't be the MVP but he made all the right calls last night. The two TDs Mahomes had to wide open receivers when they caught Philly in a blitz were just two examples of how dialed in AR was.
