Mad props to the Hawkeyes.

I dunno that last drive made me think I hope iowa goes 0-12 every season.

Trying to pass when a knee would do. Acting crazy every time they got a yard. I understand being excited if you kick someone’s ass, but they had a little over 200 yards but those guys in the game on the last drive thought they were all stars.

They scored 7 points. Though I could just be a bitter old man mad cause the offense didn’t play a game all season.

The issue for UK is that the vaunted defense gave up an Iowa offensive touchdown. Iowa's offense is dreadful. Fans have been calling for the AD to fire the OC, who reports to the AD as he is Ferentz's son.

Yes, all things considered, you are acting like a bitter old man.

They came to play and make something out of this crazy double line up. They did what they had to do.

I still like our Iowa fans here. :)
Kentucky had little chance without Levis and Rodriguez as they were the dangerous threats to this defense. Unfortunately, bowl game performances now do not reflect how good the team was in regular season with opt outs. We had one opt out, Merriweather, who was replaced by Nwampa, a 5 star recruit and our highest rated recruit in over a decade. I know some are probably pissed that Iowa was throwing late. I was shocked to be honest but it was more about Labas getting reps than anything else. Trust me that Mark Stoops is at the top of KF's like list. Kentucky is still my favorite SEC team and I wish you the very best going forward.

I have a question for you (and other Hawkeye fans ). Some people are bothered by the late game passes instead of just running out the clock (it was no big deal to me) . Do you think Stoops putting Hogan in the game had anything to do with that ? Were there bad feelings about that transfer? Just curious .

I doubt it. More important to have Labas having some reps. Don't forget that the Hawkeye's offense has been woeful this season.

I also thought they may have been wanting to reward Iowa’s receivers, since they didn’t have many touchdowns on the year . I had no problem with it .

The game turned early when a UK punt was fielded at about the 2 with several defenders there. Guy ran it out to around the 40 where field position was established for Iowa and not UK.

Eventually led to the Iowa TD and the rest was history.

Iowa did what Iowa does. Wade twin has a terrible passing motion - for a longer guy who is 6'3" he really throws awkwardly and low. But I liked he kept trying - hope he didn't hurt his confidence. We needed a good QB coach working with him - maybe Coen/Woodward will be able to make him a good QB for future. If not, he sure looks like a gifted athlete - maybe move him to another position depending on how he does next year. UK's defense played pretty well - as expected also. Two tough teams to move the ball on! When the first interception occurred I think everyone basically thought this game was over. Congrats Iowa - hope you win the Big 10 next year!

Go Big Blue!

I think KF was just getting Labas reps and using this as valuable reps in case Cade McNamara gets hurt. See what he has. I really don't think it has much to do with Hogan. I do think there were justified bad feelings on Hogan's part and KF made a joke that was very disrespectful to an active player. My money is that KF and MS have a good relationship and any heat between them is overstated.
