LSU vs Vandy

Watching. Hoping for a quadruple overtime slugfest that leaves the Tigers victorious but exhausted.

I'll take any edge we can get for Tuesday's game.

yeah me too, lol
this game is back and forth - but neither really look all that great. But then again - they aren't playing UK right now[winking]

Trying to watch without my Blue goggles on....

I am worried about our bigs against either of these teams. And it is fairly clear that the Jordan rules are alive and well for one Ben Simmons. (Don't get me wrong, he is fantastic but for once, Stallings whining is legit.

The other guys for LSU just plain suk.

Jones for Vandy is very skilled as well.

let Ben get his and shut the rest of them down, maybe? He does concern me - and he's a favorite right now

Johnny Jones may be finally figuring out to let Simmons have the ball and go, was hoping they wouldn't do that till we got past them. We could always see the potential but he is showing up tonite in a tough place to play, could create foul problems for us in Baton Rouge.

Both of these teams are tough, but UK has the much better players overall as a team.

Were you at the game tonight? I notice you didn't post at all in the game thread in a game UK won with ease. You always have plenty to say in close games or defeats.

Was at a family function that did not have the game airing. Thanks for asking though.

Was just checking out the box score on ESPN, and I'm not sure how accurate it is, but oddly, LSU has 17 total FT attempts. All by Ben Simmons. Not a single other player has attempted a free throw.

Who guards Simmons for UK? I would think Poythress gets first crack at him. Could contain him if good Alex comes to play.

Maybe Marcus? Other than those two not sure anyone else for UK can slow him down.

The problem with most SEC teams including undefeated South Carolina if you at there schedules most of the SEC teams haven't played anyone in OOC schedule. Texas A&M and maybe Florida had a tougher OOC schedule but nobody had a tougher OOC schedule like Kentucky's OOC schedule this year. Ole Miss tonight was a team alot of Media and Experts were talking about being at 10-2 and had won 7 in a row. If you look at Ole Miss schedule they haven't played that strong of an OOC schedule except Seton Hall & Memphis out of 12 OOC games. That has always seemed to help UK when heading into SEC play the strong OOC schedule the play each year.

No one can guard him in the college game. He will get his...we need to take away open 3's from their guards and not let anyone else go bonkers in addition to Simmons.

I am starting to wonder how legit Vanderbilt is. Seems like all they've been thus far is hype. Against all teams that were considered legitimately good before the season began (Kansas, Baylor, Purdue, Dayton and now LSU), they've lost all of them.

People who don't follow the game will not know LSU played without Victor & Hornsby for most of season. Different squad now.

LSU is going to give us all we want on the road.

All of our bigs will likely get into foul trouble. Our guards are going to have to carry us on both ends of the court.

Find a way to pull it off, and we will have a major leg up on the field in the race for the SEC championship.

That will be considered by the committee, but LSU has to beat who they are supposed to in the SEC this year (they didn't last year), and win some they shouldn't (@VU, check), and hold court at home against better teams (UK coming up). They are off to a good start, and if they beat UK on Tuesday they can maybe turn this thing around long term. Long way to go though.
