Loved seeing Medusa throw up that air ball to end it

Yeah, I would almost bet money Rick drew that up. They should have went for two for the tie, because they had all the momentum, but rick's ego get s the best of him.

Look I'm never usually going to speak out about a UL player but Lee played one helluva game today. Gotta give him props. He had no dog in this rivalry being a fifth year player he just showed up on a big stage and balled. Thing I'm thankful for on that play was POY switching out and making a great defensive play to make Lee shoot the airball. Lville's entire team is junk - except Lee. That kid can play.

Agreed. The whole Louisville team of players is likeable. Mitchell was tough too. I didn't see any punky behavior from anyone. Glad the Cats won, and their turd coach lost, but the players aren't anyone I'm going to take shots at.

Everyone KNEW (or should have known) Lee would be taking a 3 for the win.

My only fear was he'd find a way to get wide open.

Lee is one hell of a player though and seems to be a good kid.

Too bad he chose to play for total scum but sometimes good kids make horrible decision.

I think he is a good player. I'm glad Louisville missed the shot and I don't wear my hair like that, but there is no need for name calling.

2 of 7 from three
8 of 20 from field
Nothing spectacular.
Could argue Medusa's a ball hog.
Shot it 10 more times than anyone else on the U of L team.
That last shot was a prayer that didnt draw iron....

I agree 100%. Why try to put down Lee? This team of Louisville players seems like a pretty likable group.

When he wasn't doing it, nobody else was. He had to take tough shoits because we weren't letting anyone else score on us. Nothing bad you can say about that kid today.

This is not a good U of L team.
Briscoe was hurt and Skal is a work in progress.
We will crush them if they get in our way come March.

UL had the momentum and down 2 I knew Pitino would go for the 3 for the Win to get out here and not Overtime. Lee was having the best game of the night him and Ulis and I really thought they would go for the best shot. I believe everyone in Rupp and all fans watching on National Audience were predicting the 3 for the Win. The 3 point shot and the fadeway to top was the worse shot Lee made all night. I know he scored 27 points and I am sure Pitino drew up the play for Lee to take the 3 but that was the worst shot & play in UL's last 10 minutes of the game. They had better options to go to and everyone believing that Lee was taking the shot I would have given it up to Lewis or another player for the tie and OT. We go to OT and UK being up by 16 with 14 minutes to play would have been dagger and possibly a Loss in OT for UK. This game had the feel of UK vs. OSU last Saturday when UK was down 47-31 with 12-14 minutes left in the game and we cut it to 3 with Poythress going to line after the under 4 timeout and missed the 1 and 1 and then we got the ball back and Skal missed the easy layup and if we hit the 1 and 1's and Skal makes the layup to give UK the lead with under 2 minutes I believe we pull it out last Saturday vs. OSU. Same type of game vs. UL when we were up by 16 and UL cuts it down to a deuce but we hang on for the Win!

Disagree. This Louisville team is very good and they will be a tough out in March.

Wish he would have came to UK. Our offense would probably be a lot more potent with his shooting and driving ability on the wing opposite Murray.

Sort of a racists remark talking about the kids hair. We are better than that.

Not really. Hair is hair. It doesn't have a race. Don't make it into more than what it is.

That said, Lee seems like a nice, well spoken kid, and he's a helluva baller. He may get a second shot at Kentucky in March. All that said, I want him to feel the same thing he felt at the end of today's game if he runs into Kentucky again in March. Nothing personal, just speaking from a fan's perspective, but you should be better than to demean him when he's genuinely a likable kid.

First he walked big time, second he is a gunner (8-20), third he is not a team player. All about him. Just cause someone puts up 27 does not make them all world.

Doesn't Rupp have a policy against allowing dangerous exotic pets into the arena?

Tarantulas gotta be on the banned list...

Nobody has mentioned that there was a pick for him and Tyler U and Alex switched on it.
That left Ullis guarding a big man in the lane, and Lee didn't even look for it.

Can't believe how nobody is talking about how obvious of a travel that was, if he makes that shot it's the biggest missed call of the year.

Only down 2 and the snackhead trys a fade away three.
Serves them harlots right.

I will say this and this seems to be par for a lot of teams in last second situations. To have 12.5 seconds and took a time out that was the worse play I have seen. Why teams come down and dribble the clock out without moving the ball and getting into some type of offense looking for the defense to make a mistake. Just dribbling out on the court is the easiest thing you can do for the defense. Never know why teams down two don' t look to get the ball inside and then kick it out.

Never understood downplaying an opponent you just narrowly beat. If they're no good, what does this say about us? Louisville isn't a great team but they're a good team.

I agree. Not great, but solid. Their inside people do not dominate, but they are adequate, and the two transfers can shoot it. They will probably be 4th or 5th in the ACC and be a 4-5 seed. If anyone has a defensive stopper, they can beat UL by just putting him on Lee. Once you shut him down, they're toast.

I thought he took three steps before he got that shot off, kid balled out though.

He most definitely traveled before shooting that shot.

But hey, UL claims the refs robbed them and all, so who knows why they let him do the electric slide before a game-winning attempt.
