Every year we have team that has new pieces and is molded into something special by the time March rolls around. This year will be no different. I know we shot 20% from 3 and missed a bunch of free throws, but we still won by 20 and put up 82 pts shooting that poorly.
Skal is coming along, Poy is becoming the animal Cal wants, Ulis seems to be a 15 pt 5 rbnd 5 assist guy almost every game. Matthews is coming along and Murray is figuring things out.
Love all the pieces. We should all enjoy the ride this year and not put to much into any one game.
6 in a row in March/April is the goal and we are on our way.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I'm sure I'll be labeled a sunshine pumper, but the hand wringing over this team by some of our fans is a little ridiculous. I don't see a team in college basketball that can handle 40 minutes of Briscoe, Ulis and Murray. Poythress gets measurably better every game and looked damn near 100% last night. If Skal improves at all, then we'll have an embarrassment of riches.

In all honesty...Cal could run 8 man plattoon if he wanted with Ulis and Murray never coming out

So many people complain about the one and done players but with our ridiculous fan base that nit picks every little thing to death if the majority of these kids stayed for four years they would be so hated.......lol

I am 62 and started following and going to games in 1961. This is the best era of UK basketball in my lifetime and I'm loving every minute of it. Go Cats.

This team just keeps coming at you. They rarely if ever walk the ball up they are mostly full steam ahead and it usually wears teams out midway thru 2nd half.

You could just see all the air go out of Boston's sails at about the 10 min mark of the 2nd half last nite.

It was like they hit a big blue wall.

Great post OP. How can you not love a Cal's Cats team. Each is unique and special. This year we have the three headed monster backcourt. Each player very good with different strengths.
