Looks really really good right now. Of course, the question is how many will follow thru on their commitment.

I bring this up, because what's crazy is they have ZERO recruits from the State of Kentucky......I mean not even one from the City of Louisville.

Struck me as odd.

i always say in football, a commit means diddly squat, they can commit for 2 years then on signing day sign with another school. most of their recruits are from california, now will they sign if ucla, usc, oregon and other top schools want them. and if nobody like that offers are they really that good????...anyway. signing day will tell the story.

That would be correct of the 15 commits
5 from Cali
5 from Florida
3 from Georgia
1 from Texas
1 from Indiana

I know there are a couple more 4*’s from Florida they are trying to get and trying to flip a 4* Oregon commit who is from Arizona.

There is a new story up on Rivals almost daily about a UofL commitment planning multiple official visits to other schools. Obviously could be wrong, but I still think they lose 4-5 commitments. If your end goal is to make the NFL you dont move across the country to play ACC football at Louisville, just doesnt pass the smell test.

Yeah its weird...in basketball there's basically a gentleman's agreement if someone commits. But in football it's like that's how some schools discover kids..."oh ohio state offered this guy? Well we better look into him"

Even if they do make it to campus, do you really think this guy is capable of managing a locker room with actual talent on the roster? lmao, get real.

We might lose 1 or 2 but I don’t think we lose 4-5. Most of the group are pretty close friends but that doesn’t mean one or two might go and do their own thing.

They have never recruited a lot of ky kids. I looked a while back and most years it was 1-2. They are prob about to get 1 from ky if woo Spencer goes there. He is now listed as Indiana but he's a Louisville kid played at Male till last year

I don't follow recruiting all that close, but I recall reading that UCLA reached out to Pierce Clarkson the QB and he said no. tOSU reached out to Reuben Owens the RB and he said no. Today a sports writer from LA tweeted that he didn't think the class would hold, he was contacted by the QBs father and told that several of the commitments are scheduled to enroll in January. Of course, nothing is locked until they sign on 12/21.

From what I was told months ago, and I’ve posted it here more than once, some of their commits are rentals, paying them NIL money to commit with the hope they can lure others to the school. Not the only school doing that. They rent the commit early on, then the lease is up and they sign where they want to go. (Flip) It’s all about the money. Remember, NIL is name, image, likeness. It’s selling yourself for whatever marketing ideas that are out there.

There’s two U6 players I’ve never heard of on a billboard along River Road in Louisville. Not sure if they’re recruits or current players.
I know the Clarkson family paid for 13 billboards when their son committed. I don’t live in Louisville so I am not sure who is on the billboard you are talking about.

Kentucky did that last year, what reasoning do you have for that?
I highly doubt UK was a NIL factory last year and decided to shut it down this year do you not?

UK was selling Sec, certain spots NFL caliber coaching , and solid program winning wise and playing early. I’d imagine Goodwin got some NIL at rhe end vs Michigan State

UL isn’t today going to get a top 20 class when they sucked recruiting for quite a few years and satterfield has pretty much stunk if the field for a while as well without NIL….and good kids from west coast ain’t leaving California Midwest and heck good southern schools to go to ACC arm out schools like UL. It’s 10000% percentnNIL.

And that is fine. It’s not wrong and UK fans with their stigma need to quit acting like Barnhart….that mindset is the problem. If this is a NIL money thing…you have to play by those standards or die. Uk appears to just spend all of their resources on Stoops/Cal coaches, tons of buildings and secondary sports. We’ll be dumpster diving wjtb Vsndy in a bit of that mentality exists another year

I was just trying to point out that Kentucky had an out of the ordinary recruiting class last year, just like we are this year.

They agreed to let Adidas design their uniforms with a Sharpie and now Adidas is buying some players for them.

UK had their best class ever at 17th....but UK has been in top 25 two other times under Stoops and was coming off a Citrus bowl with a refresh offensive perspective led by Liam Coen at that time...so it is not out of left field for UK to reel in that class.

UL has not sniffed top 20 under Satterfield and was a joke at end of last year.

The recruiting uptick for UK and UL were completely different reasons. But I'll re-iterate...it is not cheating so UK and fans need to quit turning their nose up at it

Well I guess you all were right we just had a recruit decommit, thankfully he was the lowest rated commit in the class.

Are those the Morgan & Morgan billboards? I’m from Evansville but drive through Louisville on 64 & 71 fairly regularly….. I’ve seen those M&M ads with the Cardinal players in 2 or 3 different places.

I agree it's NIL. But there is more to it than just NIL. Don't tell me there aren't schools that have just as much and more NIL money than Louisville.

What it is, is Steve Clarkson, Pierce Clarkson's father. Not sure what his connection is with Adidas. But he is powerbroker behind their NIL.

And he just kind of fell into their laps. And basically, saved Satterfield's job with these recruits. What I don't understand is why he chose Louisville of all places?

When we do not sign instate players, our fans get their underwear in a wad.

When UL does not sign instate players, their class looks really good.

I expect there will be some decommitments from UL's class, but it will still be Satterfield's best class. But Satterfield has never beaten Stoops in a football game, or even come close, and that will not change.

so far Satterthorpe has not proven he can coach at a P5 level so i see nothing changing

That's an understatement on your side. You have the #1 RB, #13 QB, #'s 14 and 51 WR, #7 IOL, #21 CB, #36 DE, #25 LB. That isn't out of the ordinary, it is beyond extraordinary. If you keep them, good for you but I'll have to see it to believe it, especially the Cali kids and Owens.

No fan base more delusional. Yes, all those 5 stars clamoring to play at city college for Shatt. I mean Satt. And the STADIUM!! I mean an industrial park is no grain silos, but c'mon! Who wouldn't want to play in front of 5-6'000 fans each weekend.
