"Louisville rallies to win vs depleted Duke"

I mean, it's not untrue. It just doesn't need to be a headline.

Duke was already thin.
Duke didn't have Jones.
Duke hasn't had Jefferson.
Duke lost Allen for the last 6 minutes.

That's from the crawl on ESPN.

I'm not your typical Duke hater, but seriously... "depleted Duke?" WTF? If Lee doesn't play and we lose today, does anyone really think that the crawl will say "Texas A&M defeats depleted Kentucky?"

smh
it will say "heavily favored UK road woes continue...against a lesser opponents"

I've give you all but Allen. He fouled out with 3:55 to go. He played 36 minutes. They were losing when he went out.

Certainly can't act like they were without Allen because he only played 36 of 40 minutes.

You're right that's biased. They should have mentioned the UL players who were out due to the whore scandal.
There are no players out due to the scandal. Obviously you don't follow closely. Louisville DOES have a couple of main players out due to injuries however.

With the caveat of this being a basketball board, one would have to say that your screen name doesn't have much basis in reality. [winking]

Yeah but I think the OP is pointing out the fact that ESPN never cuts UK any slack. We can be without our backcourt, lose by one, and they would say UK has a lot of work to do and is back on the bubble. That's what happened after we lost to UT. ESPN dropped UK from the should be in category to the work left to do category in the bubble watch. They put us in lock position in the latest bubble watch though.

Sounds legit.

Depleted or not, Dook losing leaves them 20-7. They could easily lose to Pitt, FSU, UNC + ACC tournament game. 21-11 would put them on the bubble.

Main players. Lol. Anas is a walking joke and 7 goofy feet of total suck. Enjoy big brother playing in the tournament while your low life cheating, whore paying ghetto commuter school sits at home.

I didn't see the game, or the box score , are you telling me a Duke player much less Grayson fouled out ? Well the NCAA will certainly launch a investigation into this I bet !!! Yep will put the UNCheat investigation on hold till this is cleared up for sure !!!

espn crawler ...... ul playing without two players both out due to whore scandal ........ karen sypher denied early release ...... pitino achieves early release ....... andre mcgee still missing ....... celebrated author katina powell honored with ul class dedicated to her work ...............

Nope, just a typical UK fan, whining about imagined slights and biases.

Coach K getting in several digs at the refs in the press conference.

Q. What set you off when you got your technical?
A. Would you like a list?

Q. What about the fifth foul on Allen?
A. Have you seen the play? It wasn't even close.

Q. On Louisville's play.
A. This game was called one way, the rest of the season has been called another.

You think Katina will make the best seller list ? OH I guess she already has !!! We all know the UofSmell players were just having some fun, heck mix in some guns and crack and it would be a real UofSmell family picnic !!

I think they'd get in anyway. Their Duke and all ya know. Media darlings. Now if we finish 20-11 it could be a different story. That's not happening though. We'll beat Alabama and LSU in Rupp. 22-9 will get us in. Especially if we end up winning the SEC with that record. I'm still hoping we pull it out today and at Florida as well. Vandy. I think we can win out, but it would help to get healthy.

Actually, I've pretty much heard Cal say the same things this year. The refs have clearly been inconsistent this year. Hearing K say it is interesting, to say the least.

1) Was a joke.

2) He did say that, and he was 100% right.

3) "Way inconsistent," he said. "You can forget about all those videos that were shown (explaining the rules). You've got to be kidding me? Don't show those videos. Yes, it was inconsistent, but you've got to adapt, and we were not strong enough to adapt to a different environment and a tough environment and a team that's going after us like crazy. Louisville, I give them all the credit in the world. They played really hard, and you're going to tell them not to do that? They're going to go after you, and they should. That's why they have an outstanding program."

And he had just watched his team get beat up. Compare that to the OP's crying.

Perhaps. But it brings to mind a saying about glass houses.

Doesn't change that it's a hilarious retort to the guy claiming that complaining about bias is a UK thing.

I never said it's a UK thing. It just seems like UK and other SEC fanbases (in football) complain about perceived bias more than anyone else.

They're hardly imaginary; for a variety of reasons- historic, demographic, and social- we, umm, aren't very well liked.

That's OK, though. I actually like it that way. We're going to be a lot less liked in the next few years. Hang around and watch.

No way the NCAA leaves them out of the tournament. Too many wins against top 25 teams. And, they're the media darlings. If they don't get in then I will say "sorry I was wrong."

When UK fans do it it's paranoid delusion. When K does it it's a legitimate concern.

Others above agree with you...and I have no quibble. But dropping 5 of last 6 games, finishing 8th in ACC with 11 losses would bubble them at best. I can dream!
