Louisville, Notre Dame, or North Carolina

It seems pretty likely that one of those schools will be in UK's regional. Do you have any preference?

I'm hoping for U of L or North Carolina. Why U of L? Because I love seeing Cal smack Rick around, and the Cards would have virtually no chance of playing within single digits. Plus, knocking them out of the tournament for the third time in four years would be priceless

Why North Carolina? Because UNC still has a substantial lead in the all-time series. UK could knock another game off the lead. UNC would have a better shot at pulling the upset than U of L, but their style of play is what UK excels at. The biggest reason I think UK would thrash Duke (and UNC) is because the Blue Devils (and Heels) would play at a furious pace. The faster the better for Kentucky.

Why not Notre Dame? I wouldn't mind UK meeting up with the Irish. I just like the thought of beating U of L and North Carolina a little more.

I think we will either have Purdue/Dayton or IU/Butler and I think we will have ND/Baylor or Iowa State as the 4/5.

Notre Dame might be the easier out for us. It is always great beating UL, but I'd just rather avoid them, and I definitely don't want to see UNC if we don't have to. Playing teams for the first time gives us a better advantage IMO.

North Carolina is clearly the team of that group that "could" "possibly" pull an upset on us simply because of their size and athleticism. That said, Notre Dame could beat UNC 1/2 the time. I don't think Louisville or Notre Dame can beat us, but UNC could under the right circumstances.

I would absolutely LOVE to dispatch Ricky and the Birds from the tourney yet again!

Lord, please let it be Louseyville. 4 losses in the last to years to the Cats might be enough to push those clowns over the edge

GOING FOR #9, you're saying none of those schools will be in UK's regional?

GBB!!!

Sick of playing UL
Not afraid of them at all, just tired of playing them. Want to see somebody different out there.

It is complete BS to reward 8/9 seeds with geographical considerations. I've seen Lunardi and others putting teams like the above as UK's 8 and 9 seeds? Why?

Nah man I agree with you I misread your first post...one or more will be there. Not all three though...

I would take Notre Dame simply because we haven't played them yet. This would look better for the 40-0 record one more team from a major conference that failed to Kentucky.

I would love to play Notre Dame just because we owe them one a couple years back when they stormed the court on us.

Not UNC, they have the talent to beat us on a given night. Its hard to beat a rival with that amount of talent twice in the same yr.

I'll take the Cards. They're in the dumps from having another disappointing season and I'd like to finish them off again. They dont have any chance of beating us. They're awful.

The only reason I can think of is they think these teams have more incentive to beat us since they are near us geographically.

I'll take the Rards all day long. There's no way they can score enough against our defense to beat us. Plus, ending their season AGAIN would be an added benefit.

I think he is just using common sense. They won't/can't place those 3 in Duke or UVA region, so 1 or 2 of those would go into our region. Unless Duke loses at UNC and then also in ACC-T and fall to our 2. But if they fell to a 2, they would probably go to the East.

I agree that seeing a team like KY for the first time would probably be an adjustment that wouldn't be adapted to in a single game . Notre Dame hasn't witnessed a team with our size so I would pick them . The other teams listed know what doesn't work or what they shouldn't try so it makes them more efficient against UK imo . Honestly we beat any of them .

i think notre dame, north carolina will be in there. i think the committee realizes louisville cannot beat us right now. the two games the committee will try to get in the regional are wichita state and wisconsin. that's my opinion anyway.

Not sure I'm getting all the UNC respect. They will have double digit losses heading into the dance. They are just not a very good team. Beating up on Tech and Miami without their pg doesn't all of a sudden make the Cheaters relevant again.

Kentucky will prove this because the Committee will put them in with UK hoping for a revenge win and the Cats will crush them again.

I know that there will be at least one of those in if not 2. I look for them to put UL, ND uncheat, and Wis all in our bracket. maybe even put WST in as our 16 seed to start with. I put nothing past the selection com. when it comes to UK.
Does not matter I think we have the team, coach and talent to take on all comers.
Go BB

I think with the loss of chris jones and mediocre play recently, if UL drops to UVA this weekend, they drop to a 6. IU is not a 8/9 currently, they are 10-12 and if they lose to Mich St this weekend, they may be on outside looking in.

Ohio State is on CBS and ESPNs 8 line, and they play Wisconsin this weekend, so ?unlikely for them to win and jump up to a 7 ?

I don't think there is much movement from these conference tourneys - but maybe if Ohio state plays Wisconsin tough this weekend and makes it to conference championship, that might bump them up to a 7.

If only one: Louisville
Any chance we could play all three and Indiana also.

To be honest with you, if you put all the teams in front of me without their names I would probably pick UL to play. They can't score. Paige can get hot and UNC has some athletes. Notre Dame is like an old Vandy team to me. They are the last team on the list I really want to face.

Give me the team in turmoil that can not score.
