Looks like Tennessee in Orange Bowl

Couldn't beat Vandy but would beat Clemson. This forum never disappoints.
That’s a stupid post. So by your reckoning we can’t beat anyone better than Vandy . Cause, you know , a team can never be better than the worst loss of the their season. How did we beat Miss St., how did we beat UL, ? Clemson played Louisville at home and doubled the score on them , we played Louisville at home and doubled the score on them . Clemson lost at at home to South Carolina, we lost at home to South Carolina without our quarterback . Just a stupid, ignorant, and foolish way to look at things .

The stupidity it takes to just go by records or the records of people you beat is staggering.

That would mean Georgia REALLY SUCKS because most teams they beat had 8 wins or less. In fact, half of their schedule finished at or below .500 for the season. 1/3 below .500 for the season. Oh.the.tragedy... It's not just about the records.

We were basically underdogs to OM, UF, UL, UGA, UT. We beat UF and gave away games to Vandy, OM, and SC. We should have finished 3rd in our division and 6th in our conference, but finished 4th in our division and 8th in our conference. Oh.the.horror. of finishing where most expected us to finish before the season started, losing to 3 teams with vastly superior recruiting (on paper) and beating one of the same.

Yall need to go back to the basketball board to complain. They've outrecruited nearly the entire country for over 10 years and have beaten no one of note when it mattered for most of the last 9 years. You're transferring your overwhelming and justified disappointment in basketball where they only play 5 at a time both ways to the football program that has overachieved for the previous 5 years. The outrage is misdirected

Just saw a projection for all bowls had us playing Notre Dame in Jacksonville on December 30th at 3:30. I like the ND matchup, think we could do well against them but don't like it being on Friday. Would rather play Saturday. Just my preference.

You are the idiot. He said definitively we would best Clemson. He didn't say maybe or could but that we would. That is a dumb statement.

And to all your other cronies, learn to read and yes, I watch college football. There are no guarantees though. UK isn't good enough to definitely beat Clemson this year.

You’re a bigger idiot. You acted like we had ZERO chance because we lost to Vandy . NEWSFLASH , Clemson ain't that good . They we’re ranked because there are no good teams in the ACC . His statement was no more outlandish than yours .

Looking at the common opponents and scores, we stack up pretty evenly with Clemson. We both beat Louisville by similar scores and we both lost to South Carolina, they were closer than us, but we didn't have our starting QB.

Well, we beat 6-6 Florida, and 6-6 Mizzou, and 7-5 U of L, and drilled 8-4 Mississippi State.

That is likely the first time in years that more than half our wins came against teams that finished .500 or above.

The Vanderbilt loss is just really hard to get over I think. Regarding your statement, 2018 might be the only year to rival it since 1977 actually. In 2018, we beat 10-3 UF, 8-5 MSU, 7-6 SC, and 8-5 Mizz.

Some people post on here that haven’t watched a single game apparently lol

You make an excellent point.

Our record, however, is who we are. USC, Ole Miss and Vandy were very winnable.

Why we continue to make UT look like a contender is frustrating. We had 2 weeks to prepare and I guess that's why we just lost 2 key pieces on the coaching staff.

We made UT look like world beaters because Stoops came in there with a conservative run first game plan and they were expecting it. Didn't need two weeks to come up with that plan. The contrast in our game plan vs how South Carolina played UT is night and day.
