The numbers back the eye test
The offense isn’t in the top 75% for anything besides passing explosiveness. The defense is in the top 50% for everything besides giving up big pass plays. A good defense and solid return game (or at least not disastrous) helps the starting field position for an offense that needs all the help it can get.
Will be interesting to see if this changes as more games are played.
