Lindy's Preseason Top 10: #1 Maryland, #2 UNCheat, #3 UK, #4 IU

IU at #4 is, well, a little off to say the least. Even as an IU fan, who in the hell is blind enough to rank us 4th? Did anyone from Lindy even remotely see our defense last year? Bryant isn't the be all fix for all our defensive deficiencies.

Have to agree with you. Clappy may get a 5 year extension based solely on this alone.
If IU is the fourth best team (and they're not), then we have a really good chance to go to our fifth Final Four in six years, and win #9.
I really hate to bring this up. As I don't really consider INC to be a university any longer, they are really a phantom 2 which puts us at #2 pre-season. That means that the IU is even higher at #3.
And we KNOW that is just . . . WRONG!
You know, if INC wins the NCAA tournament this will be the first time we haven't had a national champion in basketball since . . . the last time those academically bankrupt scoundrels won the tournament.

I'm not sure if I buy Maryland as #1. I think they're a 5-10 team maybe? But not # 1. Then again, there really is no one proven team that stands out right now. It's meaningless at this point anyway.

UK stands out with six 5 star players including quite possibly the top 2 players in the nation with Skal and Murray.

Maryland as the preseason #1 is ridiculous! Turgeon has never been past the Sweet 16 as a head coach, and up to this point, his best team there lost convincingly in the 2nd round of the tournament. I'm just not sold on him as being capable of guiding a team to the Final Four. Sure, Maryland has talent, but there's virtually no tournament experience there, while we on the other hand have guys returning who have played on back to back Final Four teams. And if Indiana is the 4th best team in the country, then college basketball is really down next year and we have a great shot of winning #9.

Exactly, and it seems that is what everyone is afraid to admit...that UK again has far and away the most talented roster.
