What a joke they not in his top 5 any then they miss on a guy and come calling. They have 4 db not counting him already signed 3 are rated above him. Goes to show you some guys don't care how hard you recruit them.

Agreed. Our average star rating is still going to be over 3, which will make it better than pretty much every other class we've had in the past. Sure, the "what might have been" is disappointing, but this is still a very good class.

UL just had a cornerback commit dump them for Miami. At his signing day put on a UL hat, then threw it on the ground, had on a U hat underneith.

I can't believe Lewis did the staff like that. They worked so hard on him for well over a year and FSU comes and 3 days later he signs with them. Glad this class is finally over with.

Lost the top guy left on our board today too, Roquan Smith, a LB, pick UCLA of all places over us, from about 2 hours down the road from Athens.

This has been a crazy year, and even crazier day in Athens. We had 9 guys flip/decommit over the course of the recruiting season, we have flipped 5 guys towards us. Now today, 3 of those guys who flipped from us have flipped back to us. The LB we wanted so bad committed to UCLA on ESPN, signed the papers but hasn't faxed yet and is having second thoughts, our top signee is there with him and they are talking in a coaches office. Now Van Jefferson who flipped from us to OM, flirted with Mich and Oklahoma is now do OM and us. And we still have a couple of commits who are signing later today. Been following recruitng since early 80's and craziest day, for UGA and quite a few others I can remember.

Its easy to fault the kids for all of this, but if it weren't for clowns like me following it so close no one would ever know they committed. I remember when it use to be a short 2 line note on the sports page of the newspaper. Now there are businesses built solely for recruiting, hours of TV time devoted to recruiting. Is it really all the kids fault?
